I've always felt that returns from injuries are the best opportunities for Creative to play hard and fast with a character. Heel turns and elevations can be accomplished quite easily by just plugging a guy into a new role. Which brings me to my question...

Many of us were upset when Booker was put into the Intercontinental Division, because we thought that he deserved to be feuding for the Big Belt. We were further distressed when he was denied the IC belt to build up Christian, and the subsequent feud lacked any semblance of sizzle. And he was injured, which put the kibosh on a strong reign.

But the injury might be blessing in disguise. With HHH out and Goldberg holding the strap, there remains some space atop the card. With RVD holding the IC title and involved with Jericho,Christian and Storm, Booker *could* be at the right place at the right time. Problem is, with Goldberg as champ, no one will be beating him any time soon, and there don't appear to be many high-profile heels at the top of the card for Booker to feud with. So do you turn Booker heel?

Obviously, there are some pitfalls, because coming at the heels of Steiner's turn (and the rumored heel turn for Kevin Nash), Booker's face momentum would be lost, and his heel momentum might be diffused by too many villains. Yet, often strong faces make strong heels when they turn, and he could go straight up against Goldberg for the bounty, or align himself with Teddy Long and try to take out Shawn Michaels before taking on Goldberg for the bounty. This sorta keeps Booker T floating around the uppercard, as he could provide a legit opponent for Goldberg that need not be squashed, and, when RVD is ready to step up, provide a foil for him.

Still, the role that we like to see Booker T play is that of the everyman hero, in part because he plays it so effortlessly. If there was a way that he could get into the mains upon his return, we know that's how he would draw. But how to handle his re-entry? He can't compete for the World Title (except for the one-shot Face vs. Face matchup), and he shouldn't cut the legs out from under RVD's push. Kane needs to be kept strong, and heels Scott Steiner and Test have been teamed. So how should the WWE capitalize on Booker's re-entry?

It doesn't seem to me that there's room at the top of card on RAW for Booker. Goldberg apparently has Nash lined up for a shot and Kane is the other obvious contender.

If we assume it'll be Goldberg vs. Kane at Survivor Series, Booker needs something else to do then. I don't know why they wouldn't go full on interpromotional at SS. It seems like the perfect opportunity. I think they should go old school and have at least one four-on-four match. Booker should captain the winning team.

Maybe on the shows leading up to SS, you have two 4 on 4 matches on each show, face v. heel. The survivors from each match qualify to represent their show. On SD, you get four faces or heels, no mix. (I'd saw Haas, Benjamin, A-Train and maybe Big Show). On Raw, however, you get a mix of two and two. Say Booker, Storm, Steiner and Test. Booker is the one that convinces them to work together for the good of RAW (and Storm ends up with Stacey somehow).

That way, he's main-event without fueding with the champ. In December he can team with Goldberg against HHH and Nash or Kane. They'll probably want the title on Goldberg come Wrestlemania (or have him chasing HHH for it again), so they don't need a title match on the PPV. If they need one, they can make it a three way, where Booker was awarded a shot based on his performance at SS, but HHH demanded a rematch since it was his title.

Booker could even win the Royal Rumble. The point is, there are plenty of way to make him a main-eventer without putting him in a direct fued against a top player. How long is he around for? If they're going to give him a title run and he's gone before WM XXI, then December's PPV might be a good time. He pins HHH for Goldberg's title. Somehow, HHH has convinced Bischoff to make a stip that Goldberg can't demand a rematch for the title if he loses it. Booker wins and then loses it to HHH at the Rumble where Goldberg earns a title shot by winning the Rumble itself. Then you've got HHH/Goldberg for WMXX, which is fine as long as Goldberg wins it back then.

Everyone's happy: HHH jobbed to Booker, but got it back along with a WM main event. Goldberg loses his title, but gets it back in a big win at WM. And Booker T is the ONE TIME WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION (or 6 time, if you follow the belt and not the lineage).

What to do with Booker T? Trade him to Smackdown for Chirs Benoit. Benoit is LANGUISHING on Smackdown and needs a change. Putting him on RAW gives him a chance to get some fresh feuds going with RVD, Jericho, HHH and Kane. Booker moves to Smackdown where he can feud with Eddie, Brock, Angle and Cena.

I like the idea of Booker T on Smackdown ... a Booker/Cena feud could have some good vignettes/promos between the two. Trade Booker T for the Undertaker.

NOOOO Stacy is the same as Torrie, if you put her with someone they are going to steal the wrestler's heat. Stacy + Lance = end of Lance's push

I do like Booker T on Smackdown. I think both shows need a little mix up so we can have some new feuds. Also I think Booker should come back as a heel. It's way too stale with his current character.

I like the idea of Benoit on RAW....there's a ready-made feud with Flair over their old Horsemen ties, and a series of matches with the great Benoit would do nothing but help develop Randy Orton. Sure, Benoit would probably have to job to Orton a few times, but it could help in the long run to promote Benoit as a big-time player.

That said, I dunno if Booker is the right fit for Smackdown. That show has Eddie, Angle and Undertaker as top faces; they don't really need a fourth.

I think if you're going to move anyone to RAW, it should be Sean O'Hare. That guy has RAW written all over him, and as has been previously noted here on this board, isn't doing a whole lot on Smackdown (or Velocity, if you want to be technical).

I don't think that's quite right. Stacy's been with people like The Dudley's, who by all known laws of God and man should be completely heatless now for any number of reasons, yet still get good reactions.

The problem is that because of the reaction she does get (which is huge) they put her with people who get zero reaction to start with (like Test, Steiner) because some idiot working for the WWE thinks that people will eventually pop for Steiner the same way they do for Stacy.

It's like they have NO idea WHY people are cheering when her music starts up.

Really, it's more like they want to have the heat going towards people that can, y'know, get in the ring and wrestle (how well is a matter of opinion). I know the heat is for Stacy and not for Test, but at least with her, heat is going in his general direction. And if you ask me, Test has been doing pretty good since he turned heel on Stacy. I just wish he hadn't spent the last 1000 years feuding with Steiner.
