The event will be held at the Newark Pavilion, located at 6430 Thornton Avenue.
Hardy's appearance will be a thank you to local fan Luna Nyx and her late friend Alice Cooper, who several years ago presented The Hardy Boyz with a Valentine's Day gift: an ornate candy sculpture in the form of a severed human heart. Cooper passed away due to breast cancer shortly after meeting the Hardy's. According to the article, Nyx has become close friends with Jeff and his girlfriend Beth.
Hardy will face local wrestler Wild Storm at the event. Tickets are available by calling (510)668-1211.
Since being released from the WWE, Hardy has only made two appearances on the independent circut. One as "Willow the Wisp" for a local promotion in North Carolina and the other for Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor in New Jersey on July 19th, where he was booed out of the building. | Promote this thread! | | DJ FrostyFreeze

There was, supposedly, a small group of fans that came to see Hardy, but they were clearly the minority. It's just your average "smart" wrestling fans trying to show how cool they are by booing somebody they just paid to see, and could give "their" federation tons of exposure. | Excalibur05

Actually, I heard it that he came out and started blowing spots like nobody's business and the fans were upset that they paid to see Jeff come in and fuck up every move he tried, so they chanted "Go Get Well" at him as he left.
Who knows though. I wasn't there. | Michrome

You have no clue what you're talking about. They cheered Paul London like crazy on his final night even though they knew he was leaving. They booed Hardy because he showed up looking like shit, and then proceeded to blow a shitload of spots. They chanted "go get well" at him. | thatdude21601

Actually, the crowd booed him before he even entered the ring. As soon as he came out, there was a large amount of abuse hurled at him. It wasn't "I can't believe you blew that move" heat, it was "we don't want you here" heat, and he wasn't even in the ring. It then got progressively worse. Just to let you know. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
