Florida wins 9-8 in 11 after the Cubs gag the game away repeatedly. Having seen the real Cubs return to us all let me be the first to predict Marlins in 5. You can't win with just 2 pitchers, and when the rest of the staff consists of crap heaps like Zambrano, Borowski, and Guthrie, you ain't going to the World Series. Tomorrow night Prior loses 3-1.

I don't know what to think about this series. The Marlins tried their hardest to lose this game too. As any Boston fan can tell you its never an easy 9th with you have Urbina pitching.

It depends on what 2:
Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling
Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale
Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain
for example.

but if Prior loses, they are in trouble.

I know the Cubs blew the game, but give the Marlins credit too - they had timely pitching and hitting, and took advantage of just enough Cubs mistakes. The 5-run 3rd inning showed we weren't going to go away; Pudge and Mike Lowell (game-winning pinch hit HR in the 11th) came up HUGE.

I would not count The Cubs out until Wood and/or Prior goes down... I think The Cubs can sack up and come back strong.

But man! Pudge is that standout of this postseason. Talk about leading a team in the playoffs,. He's amazing.

That looked like the Ugie from Game 2 of the day night doubleheader against Tampa last July on the night Ned Martin died. Nice to see the real Ugie has returned.

Marlins just got their asses handed to them tonight! and so did the yanks! do i smell throwing games? Red Sox over the yanks 4 - 2 and cubs over marlins 4 - 1. Cubs over Red Sox 4 - 0.
