You heard correctly (or I heard wrong too). The only thing I could think of was that we are going to see the return of the cartoonish "Yah, I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK" type of thing as they debut someone new. But to do it the way they are, just seems dangerous for Goldberg at this point. Seriously if someone "takes" him out or tries to take him out, what are they going to say?

Sorry, we weren't "shooting" when we said that?

I thought it was an OK show. All I can say about Kane and Shane is at least a car crash is more realistic than throwing someone in a pit of fire, and having tem "disappear"....Storm has completed the face turn. I thought it was funny that he got boring chants at first, until he told off Jericho, then he got a loud pop. That match with the Canadians and RVD was great....The only major complaint I have is I dont think you should ever cut away from a match to go look at something in the back....Anyone else a little turned on when Molly started talking about beating down Lita? Just asking is all.....I really think we need a break from Lawler....Ric Flair was just awesome tonight...a lot of wrestling tonight, that makes me happy

yeah me and Cfgb were talking about this a week ago also, seeing as i'm a little strapped for cash. But I love Goldberg too much to even think about "putting him on the shelf". We did conclude though that Goldberg better watch his back when WWE heads south again.

You weren't the only one! :-)

I was just totally blah for most of the first hour. The car wreck was more of a train wreck. I'm waiting to see a hospital interview with Kane next week and Shane jumps him (call it "irony").

Lita/Gail was fun, even with a couple ugly spots. That "Lita Bomb" should have been the finish, rather than a DDT, but hey, I just said a couple weeks back that I'd rather not see her using the ToF, and I got my wish!

I wish they'd shown Lance going for the Cabbage Patch on his way to the back. They cut it out and I'd missed seeing him do it for the first time. He did get a nice little reaction when he did it while confronting Jericho.

Maybe we'll get Test/Steiner vs Dudleys with Stacy and the belts on the line. Seems a logical place to go, since they like passing her around.

Maven's coming along nicely. Less of the generic offense and Flair will make him look like gold next week. I'm there!

Goldberg's selling is getting better, but he still doesn't seem to have any notion of long term effects. Still, this was the best I've seen Mark Henry in ages.

We can hope all we want that he'll return (and he was a GREAT character, don't get me wrong), but I have a feeling DiBiase's religious beliefs may conflict somewhat with the material being presented on Raw.

Of course, the same could be said about HBK, so what the hell do I know?

Still, he would make a great (second) manager for Evolution, if he ever decided to make the move.

I sense this whole Goldberg bounty storyline as a lead into a Kliq reunion when HHH returns. They've already planted seeds of an Evolution split, and have set up something with HBK/Goldberg. Throw a returning Nash into the mix and there ya go. Of course, the question remains if people actually WANT to see that, but you know... baby steps.

Well, this week, I did decide to watch Raw for a little bit, but I just gave up after the HHH segment. No, it wasn't because of HIM, you kidding? He didn't do anything wrong (except not marrying me instead of Steph). He was quite sly, and I always loved that about him. I'm actually referring to what happened before that with Kane and Shane. It's been done, and I really didn't see the difference here.

So, I decided to leave Raw early this week on the decidedly more pleasant mental image of HHH holding up a C-note. From the recaps, it looks like my sixth sense about these kind of shows hasn't failed me...again. Pretty blah show from the look of it.

Now, I know I missed the Highlight Reel and the women's matches, and I apologize to the people involved in those segments, HHH too just because he started a cool angle with the bounty, and said one of my all time favorite catch phrases. But, the Kane-Shane thing turned me off. And, no surprise, Shane didn't go to jail for this. Damn his last name!

You know what would've been cooler? If both face and heel wrestlers went after Goldberg for the bounty because deep down they really don't like him being in the WWE, and not just the heels. You know to make this angle understandable to the casual fans out there. But, that's just me. I did watch some of the baseball game (fun stuff), and then popped in my Dreamslam tape. It just happened to be at the part with Kyoko and Takako Inoue taking on Mayumi Ozaki and Cuty Suzuki. My favorite match on the tape, I might add. By the time that was over, it was already 11:30. That's how you dodge the bullet.

Thought the show was okay ...

Thought for a second there were going with a cool little stable of Storm, Jericho & Christian (using the whole 'let's just sweep the lance face run inder the rug' approach) ... but i was foaming at the mouth for the tag match ... finally, arguably the 4 best workers on RAW in the ring at the same time.

Liked the Bischoff promo before the Steiner match ... damnit Test, why must you grow on me?!?!?

looks like Maven, Orton, Jindrak & Cade could be the future of RAW ... they continue to get better ... Cade just needs a new look; too bland.

But, all in all, not too terrible of a show for me ...

The bounty essentially brings us the 2003 version of the 24/7 hardcore belt rule, and I wish they'd play that up. Show us Goldberg fighting in airports, hotels, restaurants (Jackhammer on the dessert tray!).

And more to the point, why not bring in some mercenary one-timers to take a shot, get beat and return to the indys or stay depending on their behavior and reception?

They brought in the Road Warriors for Kane/RVD and Doink for the SmackDown brawl. Why not use some old WWF personalities or introduce us to OVW guys this way?

-Kane vs. Rosey- Who had Rosey to start off the show raise your hand. 3 minute match for the former member of 3 minute warning. The two wrestlers get disposed of (get it disposed their name is sh*t, hey atleast better then Lawler LoL). Shane McMahon comes in and Kane chases him to the parking lot... Kane traps in the limo, which took an impressive wreck into a trailer.

-Lita vs. Gail- I'm sure putting Gail with Lita was purely coincidental after the wreck in the parking lot. Lita in her first singles match back is put in they’re with Gail for 6 minutes, they’re asking for it. Start was okay, nice dragon sleeper on Lita's injured neck (would have been nice if she sold it afterwards). Once it hit the 4-minute mark it started breaking apart a bit. Gail jumped on Lita's back which they both over forward. Nice DDT Looked like two uncomfortable girls who haven't had a singles match in a long time and shows it... Lita's got the advantage of being insanely popular so she can get away with it more then any other girl. BTW Molly's commentary was great, I loved how she gave props to Gail "She's a former champion, she can be champion again. Just not against me." Cool line! Was King actually playing up the heel and agreeing with Molly! Super

-Steiner vs. Spike- Complete squash, not even an impressive physical squash but a lazy boring squash... Well they cut away during the match

-Highlight Reel- Jericho comes out looking very festive in his Christmas red. Coach, Christian and Storm(?) comes out to make their claim of how Austin has done him wrong. But Storm swerved and said he "Likes techno music"(he's so brave). Just like anyone who admits liking techno music he gets his beatings. Austin runs out and watches. RVD comes out and makes the save... Wow an impressive showing of having an entire crowd to flip the bird at once. Call the Guinness World Record Folks. Why do I get a shoot feeling when Austin continuously asks the crowd to cheer for him to be able to run wild and kick ass.

-Storm/RVD vs. Jericho/Christian- I enjoyed this match SO MUCH. 9 minutes and I liked every second. Storm really looked great tonight. Storm climbed the ropes but got knocked down and took a nasty fall. Storm & RVD went with a plauncha on each side of the ring. Storm gets thrown in the ringpost hard. RVD gets caught in the Walls slowly crawls over to Storm who was just getting up tags in missile drop kick and the pin. Dance Lance Dance (waaaaait that rhymes!!)... This segment gave me a giant smile.

-Flair/Orton vs. Jindrak/Cade- Please give me some hook with Jindrak and Cade. Anything! A team name, a gimmick, a personality. Anything please!... The 6-minute match was a little paint by numbers but it had decent athleticism.

-Maven/Trish vs. Richards/Victoria- Trish tried to break out ever variation of a roll up she has LoL. There were like perfectly done rollups. Trish goes for the Stratusfear but Stevie runs in and punches her in the stomach (boo) but she got the revenge by a highkick to Stevie setting up Maven's finisher... Don't like Maven's finisher, it looks like a screw up but it's the actual move. Of course Trish couldn't leave the ring uninjured so Victoria throws her into the steps.

-Goldberg vs. Henry- I liked this match. Maybe my expectations were low but I kept saying "This is pretty good" and I didn't want to flip away. Nice rockbottom move by Henry on Goldberg. Mark Henry really looked like a tough man by using his huge body to his advantage and Goldberg did a decent job selling and then finishing up strong. I thought it was a well-done match... DQ finish, HBK ran in and took out The Mack gets in the ring and gets bearhugged by Henry. Goldberg charges and connects with Michaels but then totally ignores him afterwards (I'm guessing he thinks Michaels was coming in to attack him?)

-OtherStuff- Impressive over the top crash, ahh this angle is so over the top it's kinda meaningless... HHH playing with money, he kinda reminds me of Terri from years ago teasing Hardy's & Edge/Christian ladder match for the moneybags and her services... Trish and Maven WALKING, meets up with Flair and Orton. Maven & Flair have an exchange of words.

-Line of the Night- Molly: "Gail’s a former champion, she can be champion again. Just not against me."
-Sign/Fan of the night- That kid that was dressed up as LOD. He was on for one second but I marked when I saw him
-3Stars of the Night- 1)Storm. 2)Trish. 3)RVD - Not too many standouts this week.

The midpoint of the show was great. Storm/RVD vs. Christian/Storm was fantastic. Main event was better then I expected. The mix-tag was good. Rest of the show was kinda cold.

The problem with these extracurricular events like car crashes is that there is always a bunch of dead time, where a wrestler is walking, or paramedics are standing around or something, that just kills the momentum. At least when the wrestlers are "walking" on the way tot he ring, there's background music.

I was SOOO hoping that when they were cutting Kane out of the car that he'd do the zombie sit-up and just start destroying everybody there. Oh well.. so much for Kane the monster...

The only bad match I thought was the Steiner/Spike one. You know somethings wrong when you catch yourself saying, "Oh thank god, Test is here!"

Didnt care either way about the Kane crash. You just know he will be back next week with a bandaid on his head.

Lita vs Gail. A few weeks back, I was thinking to myself why does lita look so strange. THen last night it hit me. WTF is she wearing shorts for? She is all tall, lanky and uncoordinated as it is, do we really need those white legs out there, drawing more attention to the fact?
Sloppy match, but what do you expect with Gail in the ring?
BTW, Molly needs to be announcing more! Not to mention, dressed up like last night more!

Stiener vs Spike? Good lord, who cares. Just feed Stiener a legit opponent. His stamina seems to FINALLY be up to where he can wrestle a ten minute match. I'm with Bischoff on this one, glad the Big Poppa Pump I knew and loved is back.

Finally, Mark Henry did look GREAT (on a Mark Henry scale) against Goldberg, and kudos to Goldie for selling so much for Mark. I totally enjoyed the match, but then again, I have been waiting 5 or 6 years for the Henry investment to pay off!

What was the point of the Kane crash? All this does is build up sympathy for Kane, after months of building him up as a monster and evil and getting fans to boo him. That's something a heel does to a face, not the other way around. I half expected Shane to give an interview later in the night when Kane comes out no-selling the accident to build him up further as a monster, but the sympathy from everybody kept on coming. It's as if they were trying a double turn to make Shane the heel and Kane the face. In the "old days" that's probably what would've happened. But now? I just don't get it. What does this accomplish in their feud?

Ouch. All are still pretty green, and Maven is the only one fans care about.

Jericho, Christian, Helms, and RVD are all right there.

The Raw was pretty good last night. Could have been better but I'll take it. It took me 30 seconds to once again wish Al and Coach were back...

Rosey only lost because he lost his mask. I got way too many views of his orange bodysuit and it looked like someone stuffed ten pounds of sausage into a five pound skin...and I don't eat sausage so you could imagine my horror. I like the Rosey, but he has got to get better clothes.

Kane should have known something horrible was gonna happen - Shane never runs from a match! I liked the limo crash, just for fun. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about these two anymore. They were over with me at first, then not, then they were, now...I dunno. Maybe they'll just go away...speaking of going away...

Ah, baseball.

Damn, apparently missed Trips. But I get back in time for Steiner...against Spike...who proceeds to job like the Ladies Forum to the Wienerboard. HA! Just kidding but I had to get that in there. ;-) Stacey - two words: new stockings.

Goldberg should have stabbed LaFrench with that broken flag pole. Though, I did snicker at the poodle comment (cuz we all know those fellas would have to pay for any tail). But hey, thanks for playing "Pin the Goldberg".

Jericho and Co. They can do no wrong. None. I, who was not a Lance fan (cubed, squared, or not), am growing steadily into one. The candy is there, no doubt, and now we see a glimpse of a little personality, a little dancing, nice. Now, if we could just put him in black, red does nothing for him. Oh, yeah, good match, too.

Eye Candy match of the night - except Flair. I love Flair, he's just not eye candy material. Emma, I did find myself wondering about the tatoos. Flair rules. Those one liners to Maven, doesn't he know though? Didn't he see those 'fuck me' eyes Maven gave Orton a couple weeks ago?

Ah, baseball...

Mark Henry...someone that big should be wearing MORE clothing! And a cup. Definitely something in that area. I don't remember paying attention all that much when this guy has wrestled, I was actually surprised he moved as much as he did. I thought Goldberg sold well, more so than I've seen him ever, and I found myself thinking if someone could take the money...Henry might be it. But please, Shawn and him...I just wrote this horribly offensive line that I had to erase. Ugh, I'm so going to hell. I'll save you guys seats. :-)

Worth the price of parking: car crashes of course.
Worth the price of admission: Jericho and Co match.

I am a bit disappointed that they did not have a few more angles on the limo hitting the 18 wheeler. If only they had planned a bit better, Kane could have worn a towel camera, and perhaps there could have been one on the hood as well, to say nothing of perhaps a camera on the truck. We really wanted to see this collision from more angles!!! Maybe next time?

A pretty mixed show. The tag matches were both good, I'm starting to like Jindrak/Cade, and the Canadians/RVD&Storm match rocked the house.

The limo stuff was pretty silly, which I guess is the norm for WWE recently. Why do they do stupid stuff like this anyways?

Pretty blasé show, overall.

Normally, the Kane/Shane carcrash skit would get me a pissed off over the stupidity and offensiveness of the whole thing. But I'm so beyond giving a shit about this storyline at this point, I really couldn't have cared less. I just wish they didn't show replays of it after every single segment.

WWE REALLY needs to send Lita down to OVW so she can learn a new style, because her current one just is not working with her neck. Plus, the women today (Stratus, Holly, Jazz, Victoria) have far surpassed what she used to do. A little seasoning for Lita would probably help her out in the long run.

Jericho/Christian v. Storm/RVD was definitley the highlight of the night (hey, that's Jericho's catchphrase) for me. But they REALLY could have followed up on last week's ladder match a LOT better than they did. Oh well. Nice to see Lance Storm finally getting in the mix here. If they keep these four together for a while, I'll finally have a reason to look forward to RAW again. Good match. I hope for more of these in the future.

How can Triple H be taking time off for filming/wedding/honeymoon stuff and STILL be the focal point of the show? The man never ceases to amaze me.

Y'know, if this was WCW, Goldberg v. Henry would have been 2 minutes or less and the match would have been a total squash for Goldberg. Why can't WWE figure this shit out? When you have to take booking tips from WCW, you KNOW you're in serious trouble. And WWE has been needing these WCW booking tips for MONTHS now. Quite sad. Quite scary.
