| #1 Posted on 6.10.03 1335.56 Reposted on: 6.10.10 1337.34 | I'll admit to being surprised not to see this out here yet, but since I'm going to Vegas this weekend I thought I'd bring it up.
I hadn't heard anything about this, until my Mom called me and said, "I guess you won't be seeing Siegfried and Roy this weekend", and told me the news.
As much as I can't imagine being Roy, I can't imagine what being in the audience must have been like. A co-worker and I agreed that our first instinct would have been to run like hell!
I guess this tops the story from a couple of years back when two of their tigers turned on each other...

I heard on the local radio this morning that they thought it was part of the act. | Net Hack Slasher

That said, my prayers are with Roy Horn. A fine entertainer (I saw his show a few years back) and from all accounts, a pretty stand-up guy. | emma

Although still in critical condition, apparently Roy is conscious & able to communicate. There are comments in the article from Siegfried, who feels that the tiger became confused, & doesn't blame the tiger for acting instinctively. There's also a report that on the way to the hospital, Roy told the paramedics that he didn't want the tiger to be harmed. It's all very sad. | Stephanie

You're thinking of "Anastasia", the white tiger who snapped and shredded Gunter and Ernst at Mr. Burns' Casino. That was in "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)" (1F08).
I wonder if they will edit that out now.
