Is Taker going to win at No Mercy? It would be bittersweet if he does. I heard if he wins, he would retire after the run, wow, i like taker, but i don't know, it would be different to see him not wrestling anymore. But i think it would be a too much of an abrupt end to brock's title end. No mercy sounds like a crap fest anyways, except for a hopeful cena/angle match.

I doubt he'll win the belt. They're trying to build up Brock as a monster, I think going for that "Wrestlemania Rematch" we all would like, or want. Then again, this is WWE, booking so I'm not sure.

Concearing his "retirement" he'll be leaving the way he came in, the Dead Man. He said it himself. So when he comes out with the druids, in his phenom gear, then we know his final days are dwindling...atleast for now. I can't quite cite where I've head this, but I've always remebered hearing about it in various places, brought up once or twice here I believe.

No, I can't see him winning either. Brock just got the belt, so this being the WWE and all, before his "real" first title defense they spend a PPV feeding him someone to cement in people's minds that he IS the champion.

Although it's funny that even with the first PPV being basically a squash, some people still were bitching that it wasn't Benoit getting the title shot right off the bat.

No chance, especially since it's rumored Taker is going on to feud w/ Vince. Maybe a DQ win via Vince interference, but there's no way Taker walks out w/ the title.

Vince costs Taker the match. Though Vince vs. Taker for the title at Survivor Series is pretty enticing.

Vince vs. Taker is not my idea of a dream match but Vince vs. Taker for the WWE Title is on the top of my list of matches I would least like to see. Don't get me wrong I mean if Taker is on his last run then by all means give him the title but for the love of god don't defend it against Vince.

Booking 'Taker to win the belt from Brock would be a horrible, dumb, stupid, idiotic thing to do.

That being said, I can easily see them doing it.

Remember back in the old days when, by October, you pretty much had an idea of where WWE/F was going for WrestleMania? Like in 1997, you knew Austin was getting the big title shot, and in 1995, you knew it would be Shawn Michaels?

I couldn't even tell you what their plans are for Survivor Series, let alone in six months. If UT/Vince is a match, what happens to the world title? It's too soon for Brock/Angle again. Maybe no world title bout and we see a Lesnar/Cena/World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Angle/Benoit/Guerreros Survivor Series style match, with some stipulation that the 'sole survivor' or the man that pins Brock gets the #1 contender slot.

It should just be Chris Benoit vs. Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2003. It'd be huge!

Vince should have kept the iron man matcn stip for Survivor Series. no match between kurt and brock could ever top that now. hell in the cell? not angle's style and a dead gimmick, BTW.

Chris Benoit's not going to get the title now, so I think this is a terrible idea. Job Benoit out in many more big matches like that and you'll start to cement the idea in people's minds that he just can't win it all...then again, could you use that as a storyline justification for a big heel turn (alligned with Heyman? Wishful thinking I know...) the way they did with Jericho? Maybe that works.

I really like the elimination match idea that Big Bad mentioned...further to another thread on this board, if you go with that match (and the eight guys he listed were the right ones I believe) and have it come down to Eddie against Brock and Eddie pulls it out, suddenly you've got a storyline in place that could stretch to WrestleMania.
