-This week's edition of Raw did a 3.4 cable rating, off of hours of 3.4 and 3.5, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is down from last week's 3.6 and furthers the show's recent trend downward. It should be noted that the overrun is not factored into the rating (I believe because Spike TV did not notify Nielsen that the show would run long) but even a high number in the overrun would have had a minimal effect on the number and wouldn't have made much difference, if any at all (it may have raised the overall number to a 3.5). WWE is definitely not on a good trend right now as the Raw number has gone down every week since the fall TV season started.- *
So this week Raw's rating came in at 3.4 with hours of (3.4, 3.5) while last week did 3.6 hours of (3.4, 3.8).
That all important timespot at 10PM with Ross & Coach really did wonders! Last week the second hour jumped a whole 0.4 (that's even with the piss poor Y2J/Goldberg overrun was even with the average 3.8 second hour) because of the strong women match that came on at 10PM... This week we had announcers whipping fetish Q-hour and the entire last hour with Superstar Announce Team JR & King and the second hour raised all of 0.1. Whew ain't that great.
*MNF #: This week numbers from 9 to 11 was very even with last weeks. This weeks average from 9-11 was 11.3. Last week was 11.2... Half hour breakdown for this weeks MNF are.. 9-9:30= 11.5.. 9:30-10PM= 12.4.. 10PM-10:30= 11.8.. 10:30-11PM= 9.6. Last weeks 4 half hours from 9-11 were (11.4, 11.8, 11.3, 10.2) | Promote this thread! | | AWArulz

| #2 Posted on 2.10.03 1013.21 Reposted on: 2.10.10 1013.23 | Pretty funny, I think - Mrs AWArulz - the typical casual fan - and I watched the last 45 minutes of Raw together this past monday. Neither of us saw it the week before (Cause I was out of town with Lodgenet and was lucky enough to get CNBC, MSNBC, CNN and CNN HN, but no Spike). She seemed to dig the ladder match, saying "ooh" and "ouch" a couple times. She got all interested in the Goldberg thing and asked me "who's the guy beating up the little guy?" when old Sexual Chocolate was beating on HBK. She enjoyed the drop into the spear, but was bummed Ric Flair, who she actually knows, wasn't jackhammered (which is her favorite move). She mentioned HBK's bleeding which she called "disgusting" and asked (for the millionth time)"do they really do that to themselves?" Of course, she hasn't a clue who Christian or RVD is, so she wasn't that interested, but thought it looked painful. Plus I was excited and making noise, so I am sure I disturbed her.
She actually looked up from her magazine several times during both matches, which I thought spoke well for the interest among casuals. | spf

The overrun was only a 3.6. The show lost 0.5 after the announcer match and never got back up that high according to 411 (411mania.com) | BigVitoMark

Oh, good. That means we'll probably see more of that kind of shit. I'm not going to stop watching wrestling, but for chrissakes, this is definitely a strong argument for it.
Who does these fucking numbers? How could more people possibly have watched that dog than the stellar ladder match? | fuelinjected

| #6 Posted on 2.10.03 1411.19 Reposted on: 2.10.10 1412.17 | The show had natural growth to the fifth quarter (which is usually a high point), people saw the announcer crap and tuned out in droves.
Why should people stick around for Christian and Rob Van Dam? A glorified jobber and Kane's squash boy fighting over a meaningless title? | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
