Probably because most people donated (got rid of) Chyna's book to those libraries. | ShotGunShep

There's your answer for that one, but I don't see any listings for the newer book. As for me, I'm amazed that six libraries still have the Hulk Hogan Rock N Wrestling cartoons. I have two copies I got from a dollar store, and I would love to see other episodes. | cringe

Whoops, I forgot about "Tonight ... In This Very Ring"; here you go :
* 51 libraries own a copy of Scott Keith's "Tonight ... In This Very Ring" (this time, Illinois is NOT the state with the most libraries that own Keith's book; shocking, I know, but this time the honor goes to Indiana with seven - including the University of Southern Indiana)?
Originally posted by cringe They actually rereleased the Rock N Wrestling tapes 2 years or so ago, my friends picked me up the whole tape set (i think) as a birthday gag gift.
Actually, those were the original VHS tapes from the 1980's that I was talking about ... Upon further review, I find that one library (the Denver Public Library) owns the complete 6-volume set of the 1999 re-release :
WWF805 WWF Home Video 791.43 Hul Hulk Hogan's rock 'n' wrestling [videorecording] / DIC Licensing LP and World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc. World Wrestling Federation Home Video presents Hulk Hogan's rock 'n' wrestling. [United States] : WWF Home Video, 1999. 6 videocassettes (45 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in. Episodes from the animated series which aired on television from 1985-1987. Children's films. DIC Licensing LP. World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc. Hogan, Hulk, 1955- http://www.wwf.com

| #12 Posted on 3.10.03 0805.45 Reposted on: 3.10.10 0805.55 | Yeah, FirstSearch is kind of like a search engine for libraries ... You just put in a title ("Have a Nice Day") or a keyword/author ("Hogan, Hulk") and it will come up with a list of books/videos/DVDs/microfiche/whatever and the libraries that own a copy of them.
It's kinda fun, in a "oh MAN am I bored at work and have nothing better to do" sort of way ... Here's a couple more :
* 87 libraries have a subscription to "Pro Wrestling Illustrated".
* Two libraries (the Cedar Rapids Public Library and the Elkhart Public Library) own the original LP of "The Wrestling Album II: Piledriver" ...
The Wrestling album II [sound recording] : Piledriver. New York City : Epic, 1987. 1 sound disc (31 min.) : analog, 33 1/3 rpm, stereo. ; 12 in. 003100 Rock and country songs performed by various performers, musicians and non-musicians, who are associated with the World Wrestling Federation. Recorded at Platinum Island Recording Studio and the Hit Factory, New York City. Girls in cars (Robbie Dupree & Strike Force) -- Piledriver (Koko B. Ware) -- Honky tonk man (Honky Tonk Man) -- Demolition (Rick Derringer with Ax & Smash; i.e. Demolition) -- Jive soul bro (Slick) -- Crank it up (Jimmy Hart) -- Waking up alone (Hillbilly Jim & Gertrude) -- Stand back (Vince McMahon) -- Rock and roll hoochie koo (Gene Okerlund & Rick Derringer) -- If you only knew. Rock music, 1981-1990. Country music, 1981-1990. Honky Tonk Man. Slick. Hillbilly Jim. Gertrude. Dupree, Robbie. Ware, Koko B. Derringer, Rick. Hart, Jimmy. McMahon, Vince. Okerlund, Gene. Strike Force (Musical group) World Wrestling Federation.
* Two libraries (the Merrimack Valley Library and the Pope County Library) own something called "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling III: Fans Beware ... Anything Goes" (VHS, 1988, 57 min.); anyone heard of it?
* Bowling Green State University owns a copy of "The Best of the Wrestling observer, 1983-1987", by Dave Meltzer.
* 688 libraries own a book called "Better Wrestling for Boys" (which just sounds WRONG).
Anyone have any other books/videos that they'd like me to look up, just for curiousity's sake?
EDIT: Oh, I also just noticed this ... Up above, the Sacramento Public Library is incorrectly linked; my apologies to any Sacramentites who may be reading this. | drjayphd
