| #1 Posted on 1.10.03 1007.01 Reposted on: 1.10.10 1007.21 | Hey, I may not have the Ladies' Board anymore, but it looks like I got a new gig already. So, here's the spoilers for tomorrow night's show, with my opinions not in Italics. From 411...
Dark Matches
(1) Kanyon & Chad Collier beat Travis Tomcoates & Kevin Rurley Collier is from ROH fame. Kanyon finished the match by hitting on the bigger of the two jobbers (who liked like Mike Awesome gone to seed) with a Flatliner. Crowd had a small “We Want Kanyon” chant after the match.
And just so everyone knows, all of the jobber names are just a good guess. Between Keith trying to understand what Tony Chimmel was saying, and me trying to understand what Keith was saying through my cheap cell phone…well, let’s just say trying to understand a drunken conversation between Dusty Rhodes and Jake The Snake Roberts would be easier to transcribe.
***Merchandise booths have new Los Gurerros bandanas and inflatable John Cena hands.
(2) Paul London & Spanky beat Ken Anderson & Jeremy Gosh. Anderson also wrestled on Heat last night in an attempt to further get across the idea of brand extension. Great spot came with Spanky on all fours and London jumping off him in a “Poetry in Motion” type move. Finish came when London had Gosh in a facebuster type move and Spanky kicked the back of Gosh leading to a really cool looking pin.
Velocity Hell
(1) Jamie Noble (w/Nidia) beat Shannon AllThatAnd Moore. Finally, the long dormant feud of the Jung Dragons versus 3Count shows it’s face in the WWE! Noble came to the ring in a goofy orange hat that he seemed very protective of. Very competitive with a lot of near falls. Noble finished off Moore with a submission move that was a guillotine choke with Moore’s legs wrapped around him.
This has nothing to do with SmackDown, but I was watching RAW last night and I thought I had a case of déjà vu. After some research today, it turns out I wasn’t going crazy (Editor’s Note: let’s not rule that out just yet.) First check out this D-Von shirt and then look at this Shawn Michaels shirt. The WWE is now ripping themselves off!
(2)Sean O’Haire (w/o that cool coat) beat Kevin Krueger. Lots of mat wrestling, and by that I mean Krueger was on the mat getting the shit kicked out of him by O’Haire. They re-did a spot in which O’Haire picked Krueger up for a slam and then kicked him, but don’t know why. During this match the lights dimmed bringing back the memories of the Old Milwaukee Power Curse. Back at ECW Hardcore Heaven 2000, during the Mikey Whipwreck – Simon Diamond match, the same type of power outage occurred. Finish came when O’Haire hit that reverse Death Valley Driver. The way they treat Sean is just so WRONG!
(3) Rhyno beat Funaki. Amazing quick match ended with the Gore.
(4)Rey Mysterio beat Nunzio. Lots of matwork by both men including a long stretch with Nunzio working over Rey Rey’s arm. Nunzio tried a lot of different submission moves here. A cool spot came when Nunzio was going to give Mysterio a suplex, but Rey slipped out and gave Nunzio and old school version of the Slop Drop (Editor’s Note: Derek, my audience DOES NOT remember the Godwinns!) Rey finished off Nunzio with the 619 and Dropping the Dime.
Yes, you read that right, Rey Mysterio is on Velocity Hell so that no doubt That THING They Call Shaniqua can be on SmackDown. Scandalous! Oh well, sounds like another good Velocity coming our way...
SmackDown!
Main event will be Team OVW (Brock Lesnar & Prototype) versus Undertaker & Kurt Angle
(1)Eddie Guererro (w/Chavito) beat Matt Hardy v1.0 (w/Shannon Moore) to retain his WWE U.S. Title Chavo was wearing the newly sold Los Guererros bandana. Finish came when Moore tried to hit Eddie with the US belt, but was knocked out by Latino Heat. Eddie grabbed the belt and threw it over to Matt, then pretended to be dazed. The ref turned around and accused Matt of hitting Eddie. The ref took the belt away, and when he turned, Chavo blasted Matt across the head with his Tag Title belt. Eddie then hit the Sensei of Mattitude with an amazing Frog Splash for the win.
Earlier Today!© Josh Matthews interviewed John Cena. Josh asked about, “your rhymes” and Cena just went off. No Thuganomics, just a hardcore OVW style promo. (Not that I know what OVW style is because, to this date, Express HQ has YET to receive our OVW tapes that were ordered MONTHS ago) Cena says that Angle is an icon, but he’s sick of living in his shadow. Good build-up to the upcoming PPV match. Word life, the match will be a winner!
Shots of idiots standing outside Madison Square Garden, somehow thinking they were going to get tickets. This is a sore subject for me because I thought be logging on to Ticketmaster with three different computers at 10:00am that I would be able to secure a ticket as well. NO SUCH LUCK. Looks like I’m gonna have to head down to the Fairgrounds Asylum and get me one of those freebie TNA tickets instead. ::sigh::
Eddie and Chavo were partying in the back until they were interrupted by the Big Show. He just arrived at the arena after coming all the way from Texas. Show doesn’t like “their kind” and ended up throwing Eddie into Chavo. Oh, and you thought HHH was racist, hehe..
During the Break!© Chavo asked Eddie where his “Latino Heat” was. Eddie told Chavo to calm down and that he would, “take care of this.” Eddie had quite the coloring in his hair, obviously making good use of the Maxim® Easy Tips.
(2) The Basham Brothers (w/That THING They Call Shaniqua) beat the A.P.A. Finish came when Farooq was hit with the Ball and Gag. Shaniqua interfered the entire match and was given a Clothesline From Hell courtesy of Bradshaw when it was over.
This just in: Bradshaw has officially become my favorite wrestler of All Time.
(3) Chris Benoit beat Charlie Haas by DQ Finish came when A-Train, who was doing Color Commentary (I’m certainly not looking forward to that on Thursday), ran into the ring and beat the snot out of the Crippler while he had the Crossface applied on Haas. A-Train then applied the Crossface on Benoit to contine the FEUD THAT WILL NEVER END.
Vince and Sable come to the ring. The key theme of the night is “mistakes”, and no, Vince is not talking about booking Shane McMahon stronger than any RAW babyface. Vince says that Steph made a mistake last week and he will give her a week to change her mind. Steph comes out and says she doesn’t need a week, the match is still on. Vince says that he will make her scream a, “blood curdling scream” and since we are talking about Steph here all I can think is…IS THERE ANY OTHER KIND?! Eventually Sable calls Steph a bitch and two have a Cat Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!© Joey Styles
Vince grabs Steph and gives her a very protected slam. This brings out Big Evil, who runs down to beat down Vince. Out comes Brock Lesnar, but he runs right into a Big Boot courtesy of the Undertaker. "mistakes" is right! I sure as hell won't pay for them this month!
This has to be a rib. Big Show is backstage and he is approached by a guy decked out in full stereotypical Mexican clothes. You know, the sombrero, the whole bit. This guy has a bag of burritos for Eddie Guerrero. Big Show takes one burrito out, spits on it, and tells the guy to give that to Eddie. Big Show then eats the rest of the burritos. This is quality soap opera writing kids, you can BeLee Dat!
God, when is Paradise Hotel on? Oh yeah, tomorrow night, the final show segueing right into Game One of the Red Sox/A’s. October first will now be known as the Greasest Night of TV this week.
(4) Tajiri beat Kidman. Tajiri worked over Kidman’s arm a lot in this match. Finish came when the Japanese Buzzsaw kicked Kidman in the nuts, and then finished him off with that cool Execution Style Kick.
(5) Billy Blanks Orlando Jordan beat Big Show by Countout. A quick match in which Show was dominating until, Get This, he started to have diarrhea problems from the taco incident earlier in the show. God I hope I heard Keith wrong on that one, but you know I didn’t. So Big Show gets Counted Out because he has to go to the little boys room. I know there’s a “drizzling shits” joke here somewhere but I’m not gonna go there tonight. Can you imagine what goes through Ultimo Dragon’s mind watching stuff like this?
By the way, Lipinski rates this as a true Match of the Year contender, but I really have my doubts.
Zach Gowen interview via satellite Zach was pissed at Michael Cole for bringing up people’s sympathy. Zach is sick of sympathy and he’ll be back next week. Heel Zach, yay! No seriously, yay.
Where the HELL is Dawn Marie?! YEAH!
OH DEAR GOD! We’re in the bathroom now and we see Big Show’s feet underneath the stall. Eddie is outside taunting Show saying that the burrito scam was a setup between him and his cousin “Jose” all along. Eddie was holding three rolls of toilet paper during this so that you know Big Show had none in his stall. I bet there are certain...sound effects there too. Good for us, eh?
John Cena comes out to bust some Thuganomics! Great rap which ended with the line…
Just like the Big Show’s diarrhea, you can’t stop my shit! Yeah, Cena's shit we don't want to stop.
(6) John Cena & Brock Lesnar beat The Undertaker & Kurt Angle. Great 14 minute match that had the crowd going crazy waiting for the super hot tag to Taker. One cool spot came when Brock was going to give Angle an F5, but Your Olympic Hero slipped out and ended up giving Lesnar a huge German suplex! Finish came when Cena hit Angle over the head with his chain.
After the match Brock threw Taker into the steel steps. The Next Big Thing then went to give Big Evil a spinning F5 onto the announcer’s desk, but it was reversed, and Brock ended up taking a great looking chokeslam through the table. This is where Smackdown ends.
After the show, Dead Man Inc. rode around on his Harley, getting flipped off by a still prone Brock Lesnar.
Sounds okay, but the usual "mistakes" apply it looks to me. Promote this thread! | | Spaceman Spiff

I humble myself before the greatness of the writers.
And Bradshaw again gets protected. Farooq eats the pin, but Bradshaw gets to get the heat back (by attacking a woman, no less). Bradhsaw's not going to get a push, so why not use him to put other guys over? Oh, yeah, he's from BAH GAWD TEXAS.
Overall, looks like a good show (minus the oh-so-funny poop jokes, Vince/Steph, and Zach coming back).
And Kanyon needs to be on TV. | dMr

Ah c'mon it might turn out to be a midge funny when it plays out on TV.....*thinks of Big Shows acting*.....all right, you win
Rest of it sounds pretty good, but quite why the f*ck Kidman gets on Smackdown ahead of Rey I'll never know. Hopefully its just a one week thing and not a sign of things to come. | oldschoolhero

Show's one of the best actors in the company.
And whoever wrote these spoilers is a total tool. OH MAN SYMPATHY FOR ULTIMO DRAGON YOU'RE SO "SMART" and I think he has a crush on Shaniqua.

| #5 Posted on 1.10.03 1344.12 Reposted on: 1.10.10 1345.39 | Spoilers are c&p from PWTorch.com - in this case, they're not borrowing an e-mailed in account, they're taking an article their writers actually did. So they deserve the (dis)credit.
Kidman's the next logical babyface contender, so it makes sense to have that match to help build Tajiri's reign. You've got to have title matches on SmackDown and not Velocity, so Tajiri/Kidman gets the slot over Rey/whoever
Not that they couldn't have found someway to work in Rey if they really wanted too.
No one likes indigestion bits better than the WWE, but if they're doing this to put Eddie over a "top guy", they ought to be treating Show less like a comedy guy. But maybe it looks different on TV.

Match two: Sean O'Haire beat Kevin Krueger
Match three: Rhyno beat Funaki
Match four: Rey Mysterio beat Nunzio

As for the spoilers, I'm really looking forward to John Cena's promo and rap. And knowing what a team player Angle is, there's actually a chance that Cena might go over strong at No Mercy.
But wait! Cena teams up with Brock? DAMMIT, PEOPLE! Where's the continuity???
Who on the writing staff is so enamored with fart and poop jokes? There are other ways to build this feud. They SHOULD be putting Eddie and Show on opposing ends of tag matches with Show clearly getting the upper-hand, establishing that Eddie will have to CHEAT TO WIN~!
But maybe that can happen next week. | Excalibur05

Yes, that wouldn't be good either (but at least it would be results).
Say what you liked or didn't like, how the crowd reacted, whether or not there was something that might not make it on TV, or something particularily interesting to watch out for. There's no reason, however, to make stupid comments and smarky jokes just to put yourself over and get published. If I'm reading Smackdown spoilers it's to see what happened, not to see whether or not you like Rey Misterio. Quoting other net writers and going off on your own halfassed tangents can be saved for message boards and (if you so desire) your own column.

A while ago a started a thread titled "BEEFS" which among other things had a rant about MacMahon angles. Anyway it was zapped for some reason (too many potty mouth words maybe) which isn't important, but this angle could almost be construed to be heading in that direction. Will the rest of that post come true? Only the favoured few who read the post before it went to the great forum in the sky will ever know.
