| #21 Posted on 24.2.02 2102.11 Reposted on: 24.2.09 2129.01 | For sentimental reasons, WM 3 has always been the highmark of Wrestlemanias. It had a great undercard, the feel of the Silver Dome something large going on and of course, Hogan/Andre. It was great.
However, Wrestlemania X-7 is the closest one I have ever seen to reach that level and maybe even surpass it. It had an unbelievable undercard and one of the greatest main events ever. I would have like to seen a face win, but the Austin turn was needed and should have been done on a grand stage.

...riiiiiight. </drevil>
I liked WM2000, mostly because I was there live (it was my first PPV event ever) and enjoyed the show. Benoit-Angle-Jericho was great, TLC beta was amazing (and I still like it best out of all the TTOEAC-Hardyz-Dudleyz matches) and once again, Pete Rose got killed by Kane.
It was a good show(!!!LOL), but just not the greatest WrestleMania ever.
RADIO EDIT: Since I forgot, mah favorite WM moments..
WM3: Davey Boy Smith absolutely kills Danny Davis dead, right there in the Silverdome, with a vicious Tombstone piledriver. WM3: Hogan v. Andre. Nuff said. (THAT WAS THREE, DAMMIT!) WM4: Bad News Brown doublecrosses Bret Hart to win the battle royal WM4: Randy Savage wins the WWF Title WM5: Rick Rude's tights (with the Intercontinental title belt already airbrushed on them) WM5: The Megapowers Explode! WM6: Hunka Hunka Honky Love! WM6: Hogan v. Warrior. Again, nuff said. WM7: Savage and Elizabeth reunite. WM8: The entire Savage-Flair saga. WM8: Sid Justice has to kick out of Hogan's legdrop because Papa Shango's too damn slow. WM9: Double Doink! (It's an ILLUSION) WM9: Bret Hart actually gets the Sharpshooter on Yokozuna. WM10: Bret v. Owen. WM10: Razor v. Shawn. WM10: Bret flukes his way into beating Yokozuna. WM11: Jenny McCarthy's outfit.
WM11: Owen's partner is Yokozuna. WM12: Undertaker beats Diesel. Sosumi, I enjoyed it. WM12: Steve Austin beats Savio Vega with..waitforit..the Million Dollar Chinlock! WM12: Shawn v. Bret. WM13: Austin v. Bret, duh WM13: LOD/Ahmed Johnson v. the NOD, which was WAY better than it had any right to be. WM14: "THAT'S PETE ROSE! PETE ROSE! JUST GOT TOMBSTONED!" WM14: Austin v. Michaels. WM15: Pete Rose gives it another whirl as the San Diego Chicken and fares just as well this time. WM15: Edge gets stuck halfway up his zipline and just twirls around, smiling all the way WM2K: Pete Rose dies. Again. WM2K: TLC beta, oh my. WM2K: Benoit and Jericho win Angle's belts without beating Angle WMX7: Angle v. Benoit. WMX7: The Van Shaneinator. WMX7: TLC II. WMX7: Taker-Triple H. WMX7: The gimmick battle royal, great just for the entrances WMX7: "STONE COLD HAS SHOOK HANDS WITH SATAN HIMSELF!"
That about covers it.

| #24 Posted on 26.2.02 2023.51 Reposted on: 26.2.09 2029.05 | | Wrestlemania 2000 sucked! From the cat fight to the wretched main event, it bit the big one. And to give The Rock the title a few weeks later at Backlash when I paid $35.00 to see it happen at WM2K, what a retarded decision. I don't care about the triple threat Euro-Continental match or the Triangle Ladder match. Now Wrestlemania X-Seven was a classic. EVERYTHING ROCKED! TLC2, Undertaker vs. Triple H, The Gimmick Battle Royal, Benoit vs. Angle, Shane vs. Vince, and Rock vs. Austin. To me, that's how you do a pay-per-view, something for everyone. It was great. Everything from the arena, to the logo, and yes even "My Way" as the theme song. I have the entire event on tape and it still gives me chills when I watch it. I consider it and still do to be the greatest pay-per-view of all time, and the end of the Attitude era. Let's hope to another classic at Wrestlemania X-8. | Jaguar
