This section of the Wienerboard is called "site bashing". In my mind, that makes the purpose of this forum to discuss, praise, or bash other websites. And one thing has really, really been bugging me for a good five minutes now.
I've been reading the "Hyatte cries" thread because I find it interesting. It had intelligent discussion of a fairly major IWC topic right now, including two figures involved in the brouhaha (Grut and Carless) weighing in on the matter. A quality thread, in my opinion.
I come here today to see that CRZ has locked the thread and directed us to continue any discussion on the matter in the 411 forums.
I have a problem with this for two reasons. Number one, the whole purpose of this forum is to discuss other websites. Look at all the threads devoted to Scott Keith and Hyatte, it seems to me that 411 and it's writers are always having threads devoted to me. It sends a message (and this is just my take on it) that CRZ doesn't want discussions on 411 on his forum. Hey, fine, it's his site, he can do what he wants with it.
This thread, started by Guru Zim, and commented in by CRZ, is devoted to bashing 411's swiping of Rotten Tomatoes TOS. It represents, in my mind, a double standard: The Zims let threads they feel are interesting continue on, but when it doesn't concern something they find interesting, CLICK and and's locked. The Zims can bash 411 in a thread, but we can't have an intelligent discussion about it here. It really steams my beans.

HOLY SHIT YOU'VE STUMBLED INTO THE TRUTH
Look, it's pretty simple. Threads outlive their usefulness. I am the dictator, so I get to decide when they are no longer useful. Threads about 411 often become useless very soon after they start. 411 has their own forum. So does Scotsman. You have other options. I am closing this thread. Goodbye
