DMX- Grand Champ Black Eyed Peas- Elephunk 311- Evolver Nickelback- The Long Road Neptunes- Clones
Anyone got any other recommendations? Or reviews of said albums? I know that album reviews are pretty much very hit and miss, as a lot of people like what a lot of others don't. | Promote this thread! | | WillGilman

I'm a huge X fan, but unfortunately I dont think that CD lives up to the others. "Where The Hood At" is awesome, and I enjoy a few other tracks like "The Rain" and "Dog's Out", but the rest are kind of eh to me. Take it for what it's worth.

| #4 Posted on 26.9.03 1214.27 Reposted on: 26.9.10 1214.40 | I don't know what exactly you like. But you seem to have an eclectic taste like me.
The only two albums on that list I own are the BEP and Neptunes albums. Between those two, i'd take the BEP album over the Neptunes album, personally. But the Neptunes compilation is alright. A good mix of different sounds and styles. I find myself skipping a song every now and then.
The BEP album on the other hand, i've listened to from start to finish numerous times. They've got some nice rhymes and the beats and samples on the album will keep your head bobbing. The first three tracks ("Hands Up", "Labor Day", and "Let's Get Retarded") kick the album off to a great start. It'll get you moving.
Personally, "Latin Girls" and "The Apl Song" are two of my favorites. Although the latter I feel for more as BEP member Apl de Ap sings about his transition from living in the Philippines to living in the US including a chorus in Tagalog (Filipino) sampled from an old folk song. Me, of course, as a fellow countryman of Apl de Ap, I can hear where he's coming from.
So that's my input.
In the end, i'd go with whatever suits your mood, whatever you're feeling. Good luck with your search.
I'm gonna go get retarded now with the Black Eyed Peas. lol.

| #7 Posted on 28.9.03 0206.44 Reposted on: 28.9.10 0207.42 | ...ew, Nickelback. They only had one passable song in their career--that being... (checks notes) "Old Enough". Maybe.
I wanna get the new BEP, but didn't bother yet. Hopefully, I'll get that Electric 6 CD cheap and free up some money for it. And my copy of the Neptunes album (won it on vinyl) hasn't come in, because the promo company sent me the wrong thing. What'd I get? ANOTHER edited copy of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. -_- | uberlou
