I have Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady for my QBs in one of the leagues I'm playing in, and I'm having a really tough time deciding who to start.

On one hand, I'd like to go with Brady since the Jets seem inept on offense and, as a result, I can see him having a short field to work with at several points during the game. Also--Donnie Abraham will be sitting this one out.

But on the other, there's a really good chance that Bledsoe can put up big numbers, even though he's facing a tough Miami D. Miami's DBs are healthy, but again, the Buffalo D could also provide the offense with a short field from time to time, giving Bledsoe a chance to put up some big numbers.

So if it were up to you, who would you go with?

Normally I would start Bledsoe over Brady but New England has their home opener this week, the Pats can't really run and Brady had a bunch of TD tosses this past week - he could throw close to 50 times this week - I would start Brady

all that said, I'm trying to decide between Brady & Hasselbeck myself - leaning towards Hasselbeck and the high scoring seachicken offense

You've gotta go with Brady. The Jets D is much more likely to give up a big passing game, plus there's a chance Bledsoe could find himself on his back for a good portion of the game. The Bills o-line hasn't stood up well to the Dolphins for years.

Go with Brady. I can't envision him not having a nice game against the Jets, while Bledsoe might explode, or he might get stifles by the Fins. Go with the safer bet.

I would take Bledsoe simply on the strength or Eric Moulds over Santana Moss. The pass plays the Bills will be running will get you a lot of yardage since the running game hasnt taken off yet.

Moss isn't on the Patriots. We wouldn't take him. He's Grandpa Vinny's prime target... the Pats have Brown, Branch, Patten, and Johnson.

Start Brady. The Pats are much like the Raiders, they're a pass first team. The Jets defense is not what one would call "good", of course, the Patriots D is losing players by the day. This game could turn into a shoot-out. Miami's secondary is hurt, but they should be getting healthy, and it's more likely for Bledsoe to have a horrible day than it is for Brady to have one.

Eric Moulds > Santana Moss

Eric Moulds also > New England WRs

Patrick Surtain/Sam Madison > Ray Mickens/Aaron Beasley

If you wanna talk about who's catching the ball, that your key right there.

Go with Drew Bledsoe. I think he ate Miami alive last year in the snow game in Buffalo.Damn! I gotta go up against him this week in my fantasy leauge. All I know is Trent Green better do more than 195 yards this week! Is Priest Holmes that whole offense?

Keep in mind, as much as I hate to say this, that Miami's pass defense is currently ranked 32nd in the NFL.

I fear Bledsoe may pick the secondary apart on Sunday night...and that comes from a die-hard Miami fan.

I have the same problem in my league, except... I have Brady and Culpepper. Any thoughts on that one?

Culpepper at Detroit is about as safe a play as it gets.

I also would pick Bledsoe over Brady in the first question.

Well that's what I thought last Sunday, but I was rethinking with the weather factor. Minnesota at least seems to have some running options, whereas I can't figure out what NE is trying to do with Antowain Smith. So - Brady is going to have to throw the ball no matter what.

Wait. They have a dome in Detroit, don't they. I just realized how stupid I've been. Nevermind.

Well they're in Ford Field now...I don't believe that is domed.

I was leaning toward Brady because of New England's lack of a running game, but then came the argument that Miami's pass D is dead last and thus susceptible to Bledsoe's arm. And as of now I'm still undecided. Who knew that having two solid QBs would be so frustrating? Guess I'll just have to flip a coin.

Hector & Victor on ESPN Insider have Culpepper ranked the #1 QB for this week, Bledsoe #4, and Brady #15. In their comments about Bledsoe they note Miami's D has given up 320 yds/week against Carr and Vinny.

Also, for the second time, Santana Moss is NOT a Patriot. He's a Jet.

Just as an aside, somebody needs to DROP whoever decided to change things at ESPN.com so that you have to have a team there to view all the Hector & Victor stuff. Hell, I might get a chance, but that was really uncalled for on their part.

Bledsoe. . . . (image removed)

But on the bright side, Ricky Williams had a good night.

Guru, Culpepper is slotted to sit this week out with Ferrotte getting the start. Unless something changes throughout the week, your choice has been made for you.
