| #2 Posted on 20.2.02 1309.07 Reposted on: 20.2.09 1311.38 | Jericho needed some kind of an edge going into WM against HHH.. because as it stood, everyone knew that nearly everything was in the advantage of HHH moving into this match.. and while lots of PPVs may allow for 'screwjob' finishes, the only ones that come to mind immediately as WM screwjobs were Austin/Michaels and Austin/Rocky.. and those both were screwjobs with a purpose.. giving Michaels a good showing in his last match, and leading to putting Rocky out for filming.. and I don't really see that kind of purpose on Jericho's side for getting to beat HHH..
So essentially, I think that Jericho needed something along these lines to place himself that next notch up where he seems competetive with HHH.. after all, Steph won Angle the match, even if it got switched back.. | albert44

Well if he's gonna have Steph , then I kinda like ekedolphin's idea in the thread "Thrillseekers Reunion" ... "Hey, Chris Jericho and Lance Storm are already in the same stable. Why not have those two team up and re-form The Thrillseekers? " Really , why not ? Undisputed Champion AND world tag team champion too . I wouldn't see this as a de- push ,( as someone said in that thread ), plus you get another top notch tag team out of the deal . IMO , this WOULD be a good idea .

That was the match where Mike Tyson had joined DX and was the guest enforcer for the match. This "obviously" stacked the deck against Austin, but Tyson turned on HBK at the last minute and counted Austin's pinfall himself. | DrewDewce

I doubt they would want to make HHH look weak and need someone to help him win, but never underestimate the desire of Steph to put herself over.
Actually, I hope they have Jericho keep the belt after WM and not lose it for a while, but I doubt we'll be that lucky. Jericho has become so cool again, now that he's acting the role he was born to play.

If you have Stephanie be legitly pregnant, then reveal Jericho as the father, you've got pretty much the same exact situation that we have right now... except the heat would be magnified a billion times. Yesterday was just Stephanie joining Jericho... if you'd done the pregnancy thing right, it would be "Swarmy arrogant world champion Jericho steals wife of wronged husband and challenger HHH", and the sheep would be into it so much more.
But Stephanie HAD to go on an ego trip... | heartbreakgirl

Actually, I'm pretty sure the ending WAS clean. The ref got bumped, then Austin hit the stunner, so Tyson camre in and counted the pinfall for him. No fast count or anything, no interference. The Tyson decking of Michaels was post-match because HBK pushed Tyson around for counting the pinfall when he was supposedly a Degeneration X member. | CajunMan

Well it was pretty obvious being Jericho/Stephanie are on one of the WM18 posters that was posted a couple weeks ago on this site.
so technically it's not a spoiler because everyone knew, well most people knew.

Anyways.. can someone please tell me in what way Stephanie is on an ego trip? What has she done to keep herself in the spotlight? True, nobody likes her >>character<< or her acting, but all this shit about her putting herself over the wrestlers.. If she were to win the damned championship again yes.. As she plays a role in one of the most interesting storylines of the past two years which gave us some AMAZING matches I think we should salute her.. Wouldn't it be great if it turns out Heyman, the so called guru of awesome booking, is the one that puts Steph in the picture? |
