| #1 Posted on 14.9.03 0907.36 Reposted on: 14.9.10 0912.27 | Hi. I'm a long time reader, but this is the first time I post here. Sorry it has to be a question, I'll try to do better in the future.
Anyway, I will hopefully get to fulfil one of my dreams in march by going to Wrestlemania XX (if I get tickets that is) and would like to get some advice on good seats in MSG. I can't afford the platinum ringside seats, but I'm willing to go for the 100$ or 200$ seats. I have found this seating chart, this one's for boxing, but I figured it'd be about the same.

From watching on tv, I'd say the seats next to the entrance looks pretty good, not sure if those are 16 & 17 or 80 & 83, or by the opposite side, then 27 & 26 or 51 & 54. Those of you who have been to MSG, what do you say? Are these good seats or are there better (non-ringside that is)? Any help would be much appreciated.

Everything I'm hearing about WrestleMania tickets says they're all gonna be gone through advance sales, so if you've got a password or can get in on them somehow, just say 'gimme the best ones you've got' and be happy you got them. | Shem the Penman

I was sitting in the 200s at Survivor Series last year, corner-on to the ring, and had a decent view of the action. (That's the seats with 200 numbering, not the $200 seats.)
But as BVM says, with Wrestlemania XX tickets you're very unlikely to have the luxury of being picky. Better to decide now whether the experience of being there is going to be worth getting stuck in a crap seat and watching most of the show on the video screens, and jump on whatever you can get. | Torchslasher

This is interesting because I got tickets to last year's SurSer, and had seats in the very last row of one of the sections. Despite this, my friend and I could see the show perfectly fine.
I've been told that my friends and I are absolutely NOT trying to get ringside chair seats. Of course part of the reason is that they're too expensive, but I was also told that you can't really see anything because of everybody standing up the entire time. Thus, we are planning on getting seats in the first rows after the chairs end. I believe that my friend called it "loge" seats. I guess they are the 200 or 150 dollar seats. So that is what we are going for.
BTW, I absolutely hope that there are at least a decent amount of tickets available at the MSG box office. One of my peeps (thanks Christian) is planning to go very early and wait at MSG. I pray that this is a good move, and will be a better way to get tickets than by just being quicker on the computer. | dMp

Well, ofcourse you DO get to be really close and such, and usually people will sit down soon enough. Signs can be annoying.(see WMxix, Kellemania) but usually you can look around those well enough.
I had 'golden' seats for Seattle, 10th row. (First row behind the platinum/take your chair home/overpay) seats and that was perfect.
As for seating in MSG, At the Rumble 2000 I had seats in the 200s and they were great. Saw everything going on. This was one or two sections left of the entrance. (section 203 or 204 it was or on the opposite, 223, 224)
For a good MSG Wrestling map (it is pretty much like boxing though) see here. Click Here (madisonsquaregarden.com)
And finally, I would go to the MSG. Chances are ticketmaster is unreachable/slow, simply due to the fact that the entire world can (and will) go there. At MSG you only have to deal with your fellow New Yorkers :)

That's good advice for any WWE event, even house shows. After row 5, all you'll see is the backs of people's heads, even if they're sitting. Even then, if you move to see past that person, you've got rows of people ahead of you doing the same thing, getting in your way. First row in the 'regular' seats (first row for a hockey game, I guess) are the best to get if you're offered row 5+ on the floor.

Agreed. In my most recent MSG visit, I was in section 60, and while the view was good, it wasn't really that much better than it would've been if I were in the 100s -- and that was for a house show, which meant the crowd was blessedly free of sign-wavers and stayed sitting most of the time. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
