In honour of Bryan Rapp being named Wiener of the Day, I encourage all of you to go hit wrestlingdb.com today...and then maybe bookmark it as well. Just another reminder that the Internet is chock full of amazing things.

WrestlingDB is the only other wrestling site (besides Wienerboard, naturally) that I hit every day that I'm online. The Daily Rapp Up is a wonderful, wonderful thing, providing an excellent summary version of everything potentially interesting, faithfully providing the links for more detail, & keeping me from having to wallow in pop-up & downloading hell. It's an excellent site.

This has been an unpaid testimonial. Which does not mean that compensation would be unwelcome. :-)

I dunno...it's a decent site, but it is really HARD on the eyes.

In what way? (Just curious.) And what browser are you using? (I find that I get a different "look & feel" on my lapptop with ancient Netscape, vs. my bigger machine with fairly recent Mozilla. The newer one is a much prettier, slicker result. But the older one actually does a better job of accomodating the limited screen real estate on my laptop. Don't know if this is all by design, or just happens to work out that way though.)

It's by design... sort of. I use CSS for the layout, and since NS4 isn't so great when it comes to CSS, I hide most CSS from it. The result is the barebones look (similar to what one might see in Lynx or another text-based browser).

And, if someone doesn't like the look of the site, it's pretty CSS "hackable" with a good modern browser such as Mozilla or Opera that can do personal CSS styles. I try to be receptive to user requests for things/changes, people just need to ask.

I found that there's WAY too much text on the screen, and reading black text on a white background just kills me.

Such is why I like Lords Of Pain (wrestlingheadlines.com) -- black backgrond, white text. Much, much easier on the eyes.
