Given that of the two articles they have up, one is video from Raw 2, and the other is an interview with Stevie Richards talking about video games (and in particular pimping the upcoming Raw 2), it looks like this is just a specific subsection of their video game coverage.

That Richards interview was fun to read. Its a shame he didn't mention his or Kane's X-Box live info, as I'm sure there are fans who wouldn't mind playing with them. IGN is quite the microsoft shill, though. I enjoyed Stevie talking up SYM while IGN was trying to pimp Raw 2.

By the look of the other sports sections, seems just to be another orginization of similiar content for people who are into sports video games. Nothing wrong with it, but I suspect the only time they'll be adding things is when there's a game to hype. So Blake Norton might still be stuck in Canada.

Then again, some of the interviews the video game sites posted were the most intersting wrestling content on that site - there was a long-ago Raven interview that makes his slightly-less-long-ago interview with Scaia look peaceful.

If *I* were a WWE Superstar (and maybe I am! but probably not), I'd make a "public" (or at least known) name that I'd use when I feel like interacting with fans, and then a private one when I don't.

But maybe bad experiences? Or maybe just wanting to disassociate from your job - if your role is to be noticed, I'd guess you might want to spend your free time not being noticed. And it might be a big ol' pain trying to get a game when everyone's asking you about your pink hat.

Intersting that Steven keeps track of his move list...

IGN PS2 has an absolute obsession with Smackdown 5. They're doing a day by day look at each wrestler (along with screens and video) finishing off the roster on the release date, plus they've done an interview with Christian (who's favorite game system is Gamecube, because it travels better, and enjoys playing Madden against Test and Tommy Dreamer), and are doing semi-regular feature and gameplay updates.

Somebody over there has a wrestling bug. Though, if could just be the popularity of the Smackdown game, as well, seeing how it always ranks very high on Gamespot's most requested lists as well.

I'm pretty sure that IGN gets mad hits/banner views off the wrestling stuff, so they pimp it for all it's worth. Anything to keep you coming back each day.
