| #22 Posted on 28.8.03 0002.16 Reposted on: 28.8.10 0003.27 | Well, after playing this for about four hours with my friends tonight on Gamecube, here are my impressions:
1) Nightmare's alternate costume (the half-possessed Siegfried one) is bad-ass.
2) Link is a cheap little puke. With that said, he's probably my favorite new character.
3) Because a lot of the characters have similar movesets, it doesn't feel like there are a lot of choices.
4) Raphael is great. He will be awesome once I learn how to use him.
5) The Weapon Master mode is great fun. It doesn't feel as cool as the Dreamcast one, but it's still pretty awesome.
With all that said, I must say I love this game. I almost can retire my Dreamcast now, with MvC2 and this out. The only thing I need to keep it hooked up for now is Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

Cassandra speaking Greek, Mitsurugi Japanese, Hwang speaking Korean, and so on.. I think that would be spiffy.. outside of that.. damn.. this game owns. | Bizzle Izzle

Normally it doesn't bother me, but when I'm in Weapons Master mode, and Berserker is kicking my ass over and over and over, those load times make me want to smash something. | vsp

Actually, what language settings are available? I always left SC on my Dreamcast at the default (Japanese with English subtitles), but saw a demo in EB last night with Kilik dubbed into English ("This rod will be your doom!" in a whiny little voice). Does SC II allow you to pick dub-or-sub, so to speak? | Smackfiend

Probably on the others as well but since I don't have those I can't say for certain (although I don't see why it wouldn't...) | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
