One of WWE's biggest annual mega-bouts, it features wrestlers from both RAW and SmackDown!. But for around the price of a pay-per-view purchase, you can roll on down to America West Arena and experience it firsthand. This year's SummerSlam will have no shortage of drama -- nothing less than you'd expect from Vince McMahon and his cronies. To wit: After Eric Bischoff defeated Shane McMahon on RAW several weeks ago, Bischoff thought he'd seen the last of McMahon but then inadvertently signed on to battle him again at SummerSlam. Also, in the biggest grudge match of the event, Rob Van Dam (affectionately known as the Big Red Machine) will take on former tag-team partner Kane, who was recently unmasked after years of making like an enigma. SummerSlam kicks off at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, August 24. For ticket info, call 480-784-4444. - Brendan Joel Kelley
Rob Van Dam is now The Big Red Machine? Did I miss that title match? Does he have an airbrushed bondage gear outfit to go with the new name?
OK, journalists, how does he manage to screw that up? If the guy just rephrased a press release, how would you get that turned around? In the extremely remote chance that he actually wrote it himself, well, that's certainly not the kind of thing he'd get wrong.

It could also be the copy editor doesn't understand wrestling and tried to fix something grammar-related and it went from RVD fighting The Big Red Machine to being said machine. Copy editors have this irritating ability to suck.

I've been wanting to comment on this now for as long as this thread's been posted, but I just haven't had the chance to since I've been way too bust with homework (was that explanation necessary?).
"Also, in the biggest grudge match of the event, Rob Van Dam (affectionately known as the Big Red Machine)"
I SWEAR this had me laughing out loud, just because this writer seems to write this article with so much conviction. I can't agree with DONUTDREAMS' possible explanation, just because it would take the fun out of laughing at this line.
From now on, I'm gonna refer to RVD as the True Big Red Machine!!!
