| #1 Posted on 22.8.03 1723.12 Reposted on: 22.8.10 1727.05 | I got the new Neptunes compliation "Neptunes Present The Clones" and its the usual good from the Neptunes.
Favorite tracks include the N.E.R.D. track "Loser" and the Dirt McGirt track "Pop."
Also in the CD are a couple of tracks from bands on the Star Trak label.
Overall, while not the classic that "In Search Of" was "Clones" is another winner from the Neptunes. | Promote this thread! | | Tan-veer Rah-kweeb

I tried my best to listen to Clones and it was just wack other than like four songs. The rock songs just don't vibe with me very well, the song with Jadakiss has an awful beat, I can't stand Frontin' anymore.
The ODB song was alright, but I just say that as an appeal to my Wu-tang bias. The Nas/Kelis song had a nice beat and the lyrics were good. Hot Damn [remix] was fire, as well was It Wasn't Us [Ludacris' verses were great].
I expected this to be as good if not better than In Search Of..., but it ended up being a big disappointment. | eviljonhunt81

I was excited because of all the great beats they've produced over the years - maybe "Clones" could have been an album with a sound similar to "Grindin'" or "La La La," but the quality was significantly less from the production side.
"In Search Of..." just gave me high hopes that the Neptunes could create another good album.
