Weird...this cover has the Stereo number (SRS 67073) but this is definitely the mono LP.
Side One 1. King of the Road (Miller) - 2:26 2. Dang Me (Miller) - 1:48 3. Engine, Engine #9 (Miller) - 2:16 4. In the Summertime (You Don't Want My Love) (Miller) - 1:44 5. You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd (Miller) - 1:53 6. Do-Wacka-Do (Miller) - 1:44
Side Two 7. England Swings (Miller) - 1:51 8. Chug-A-Lug (Miller) - 2:02 9. One Dyin' and a Buryin' (Miller) - 2:01 10. Kansas City Star (Miller) - 2:15 11. Atta Boy Girl (Miller) - 1:55 12. It Happened Just That Way (Miller) - 1:50
From the liner notes: Roger Miller's middle monicker could well be "Clean-Sweep" (and we're not referring to janitorial duties). The song and his renditions thereof in this album represent two major clean sweeps of awards. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, through polling its membership in all phases of the record industry, voted the multi-talented Miller every possible award in the Country & Western category. The Juke Box Operators of America reaffirmed the greatness of the Miller songs and vocals when he got the only two possible awards given yearly by Capitol Music Operators of America.
I'll bet you were WONDERING how they managed to cram a whole 23:45 onto TWO SIDES. Answer: it's country, y'all
The contagious standout guitar backing is played by Miller himself. WOW

Oh what springs to mind is the Hullabaloo episode with Jerry Lewis (co-hosting with my man Gary) and that was one of the songs he had to sing during the Top Pop Medley. He gave it his all and then some until the end when he totally rolled his eyes and shook his head to indicate that the song was so beneath him. Ah genius. | CRZ
