Oh, and "Close Up" by Frou Frou would make a wicked entrance theme for a female wrestler...preferrably a face.

"I love you I hate you I love you I hate you
I can't keep my hands off you
I love you I hate you I love you I hate you

Get back, get away from them
It's all wrong
Keep calm for a moment
Look in my eyes
Get back, get away 'cause
This could get ugly
If you think that i'll let you go
You're out of your mind"

Also Rammstein "Du Hast" would be a great entrance theme, with the slow build they have and then the beats that kick it off, mainly it'd be for a heel..seeing as the chorus translates into

Do..
Do you..
Do you hate me?

The National Anthem by Radiohead. The bass at the beginning of that song is killer. I can't wait for Raw 2 to come out so my create-a-wrestler can come out to it!

3rd runner up choice: "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent. I know Kevin von Erich had this as his theme but I still like it. One of my favorite wrestler entrance songs from way back.

2nd Runner up choice: "Welcome to the Jungle" by GnR. you know where you are???!!!!

1st runner up choice: "One of these days" by Pink Floyd. I'd start it right when the guitar comes in as for about the 1st 90 seconds or so of the song is just bass and a bit of keyboards. would be my top choice if I was a heel.

Top choice: "Jesus built my hot rod" by Ministry. Just some nasty guitar work on that track. Fast pace thru the whole song.

I would have to say that if I had a theme song, it would be "Faint" by Linkin Park. Just the beat gets me going.

Face: "Let's Groove" by Earth, Wind & Fire.
"Thriller" by Michael Jackson. (I'd edit it a bit.)

Heel: "Epic" by Faith No More.
(EDIT: Forgot "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour...I think.)

Oh, hell...I'd probably just use my remix of the nWo theme into the A2NWO theme. Dammit, I gotta get that played at a wrestling show one of these days.

At the moment, it would probably be "Paint It, Black", by The Rolling Stones. (Actually, I'd probably opt for the Vanessa Carlton cover, although that would help me pass up the X-Factor faction for Wussiest Entrance Music Ever.)

Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" or Steve Earle's "Ashes To Ashes" would both be very cool, as well, and the latter has few lines that become wrestling references when taken out of context:

Then the sea gave birth and it crawled up on the dirt
Stood up and took a look around
Said, "I'm the next big thing and the gift that I bring
Comes directly from God, so there ain't no holding me down"

Bad Boy (yimpan.com), written by Larry Williams, performed by The Beatles (John Lennon on lead vocal).

Easy to ID opening riff, rocking tune, great vocals, fitting title. Classic, IMHO, and if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you don't mess with the classics.

As long as I'm strolling down memory lane and spinning the golden oldies (don't laugh kids, live long enough and one day this could be you) the song Dizzy Miss Lizzie (stevesbeatles.com) also written by Larry Williams, also performed by The Beatles (also John Lennon on lead vocal) could serve quite well as an entrance song for a wrestler of the distaff variety. Repeat second paragraph here.

As to songs recorded in this century, I think Aaron Tippin's Kiss This (geocities.com) has excellent possibilities, at least IMHO.

I am tempted to say "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" by Gil Scott-Heron, but I think I'll go with "Miki's Lush Beehive" by The Mermen. Much of their music is too rich, relaxing, and beautiful to be an entrance theme, but this song starts out energetic and stays that way.

P.S. I still think the theme song for the No Way Out PPV should be the song of the same name by the Chocolate Watchband.

Actually, I checked several lyrics websites, and they all pretty much say the same thing...

    You
    You have
    You have me

    You
    You have
    You have me
    You have asked me
    You have asked me
    You have asked me
    And I did not answer

It's that ambiguous triple meaning that makes the lyric cool. "Du hast mich" is "You have me", while "Du hasst mich" is "You hate me". "Hasst" is part of the verb "hassen" which is "to hate". "Hast" (with one 's') is part of the verb "haben", which, as in english, is used both as "to have ", & as a helper word for many past tense verb conjugations.

In my "Sehensucht" CD liner, the printed lyrics are "Du hast mich" -- one 's' -- so the translation supplied by DarkRenegade is technically the correct one, but when I heard the lyrics, I first went to the "You hate me" interpretation, then immediately the double meaning at "Du hast mich gefragt."

Shinstrife, good suggestion -- very cool song.

Tricky question, actually. Maybe Janis Joplin, "Move Over" or "Piece of My Heart". Tough call.

I'd probably go with "After the Flesh" by My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. You probably remember them as the band that got a dead body dropped on them in the Crow (playing that song). Evil, intense, with great vocal effects. One of the reasons why the first Crow movie had the best soundtrack ever...

Thrill Kill is awesome.

I'd go with "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains

...preceded by a clip of the priest from "Dead Alive" yelling "I kick ass for the LORD!!!"
