| #1 Posted on 7.8.03 1217.56 Reposted on: 7.8.10 1222.10 | I know some of you guys order TNA, so you might know what I'm already talking about. If you don't, it's an old school style feud, with old school style promos and vignettes. This feud features two of the most underrated mic workers there is, as well as an old colleague from a defunct promotion. The feud in question...
Raven and Father James Mitchell (or the Sinister Minister).
From what I can recall, it started because Mitchell thinks that Raven is a softie compared to him when it comes to evil, so Mitchell sets out to show him real evil by enlisting Shane Douglas to help take out Raven. Their promos and matches have really given me goosebumps because they remind me of the old school angles of ECW. Trust me, Kane is Disney compared to this feud. If you've seen it, give me your opinions. Promote this thread! | | Mayhem

AMW vs. Gilberti/Swinger/etc. is fun and AMW is back to being the best team on earth. Raven vs. Mitchell is interesting and full of good mic work. The X-division stuff with Kazarian, Sabin, and hopefully more Shane is good times. Jarrett vs. Daniels could be amazing if Daniels finds the hook to really get over one way or the other with the crowd. And AJ vs. D-Lo is good despite the Russo factor. Overall it's not great, but it's worth watching again at least once or twice a month. | Big Bad

Because employing Douglas and making us watch him wrestle is TRULY evil. | OMEGA

| #5 Posted on 7.8.03 1354.20 Reposted on: 7.8.10 1355.17 | Actually, the feud I'm most interested in right now is Raven v. CM Punk in MLW/ROH. Their interviews are usually the highlights of my Monday nights (I know, I have no life).
But, yes, Raven v. Mitchell is excellent. Jim Mitchell is SUCH a major league player, and I have NO idea why WWE hasn't picked him up yet. | fuelinjected

The Raven/Jim Mitchell feud has been great and the matches have been way better then expected thanks to Raven, CM Punk, and Slash.
What's the over/under on when Brian Lee physically dissapears? I don't want to say he's got a drug problem but there's something going on there that doesn't look healthy.
CM Punk already has my vote for most improved wrestler of 2003. He can work without a multitude of numbing high spots and he can cut really good promos. He reminds of Steve Corino in that he's got all the talent but WWE will never give him a second look because he doesn't have the "major league body". | Craigerson

| #8 Posted on 13.8.03 0138.40 Reposted on: 13.8.10 0141.07 | This Raven feud works because Raven, unlike many other wrestlers, is obviously willing to lay down to get his opponents over. Hell, I don't remember the last time Raven won a match in his feud with Shane and the new Church. But Raven is such a great character and wrestler that he hasn't lost any crowd support for it. Actually, Raven's popularity has flourished despite the losses.
Shane Douglas had better be thanking Mr. Levy for putting him over (seeing as how Shane doesn't have much left to offer wrestling-wise). | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
