I just want to rejoice and praise the almighty Akuma to be able to hear Ryu sream "HADOKEN" again. Ahh, for the need of shoryukens and raging demons. Promote this thread! | | Enojado Viento

Since they've withdrawn any plans for any arcade games, they turned over their licences to SNK. Whether for one game or for good, I don't know.
SVC Chaos is quite good actually. And since Ryu and the Shoto boys are all in there, that might be what you're looking for.
It's not my dream game (My dream is one last Street Fighter game to finish off the series with SF3-quality graphics and gameplay) but it'll do since I actually liked the Capcom vs. SNK series.
. . .far far better than the crap-ass Marvel vs Capcom series. | Excalibur05

Well, SF3 WAS a massive overhaul, that tweaked a few things and tried to bring it back to its roots but everyone shit on it because it wasn't enough like SF2. You can't win for losing.
As for how many SF2's there were, there were six: The original, Champion Edition, Turbo, Super SF2, Super SF2 Tournament Battle and Super SF2 Turbo. | EddieBurkett

| #5 Posted on 30.7.03 2353.03 Reposted on: 30.7.10 2356.24 | From this article about PS2 rumours (ps2.ign.com):
Street Fighter 2.5 Originally started in the pages of PSM (that's PlayStation Magazine for the newbies), the news that a Street Fighter game was in the works and headed for PlayStation 2 didn't take long to catch on. Reportedly taking place between the events of SF2 and SF3, the supposed Street Fighter 2.5 was set to include every character from the Street Fighter II universe, a few original ones, high-speed 2D graphics, and online head-to-head play. What made the package even more exciting for PS2 fans was the fact that it was a Sony-exclusive item and was meant to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Super Street Fighter II: Turbo.
"That's completely untrue", said a Capcom representative. "We're not sure where that came from or how it got started, but it's nothing more than a rumor. There is no Street Fighter 2.5." When asked if there would be any kind of celebration to commemorate Street Fighter II in any way whatsoever, a different Capcom rep was interpreted as saying slyly "Look at what we did for Mega Man's 15-year anniversary. What do you think?"
By our calculations, you can expect to hear something big from the Street Fighter camp in 2007 -- the year in which the franchise turns 20. | Nate The Snake

I thought SF3 got shit on 'cause it... sucked. I mean, how cool can a game be if it stars Test? | Enojado Viento

C'mon. Alex has *three* moves, which gives him a FAR larger moveset than Test. ;)
