The guy will bump his ass off and make Kane look like a million bucks at SummerSlam. Now if for whatever reason Goldberg beats HHH, I would forsee him then losing the title to Kane somewhere down the road. At that point, it might be a possibility to reintroduce guys like RVD and Booker in the World Title scene since there is a new champion and they have had plenty of time to get over the jobs to HHH.

The only way Shane-O-Mac should ever get in the ring with new, psycho-Kane is to get his ass squashed in about 5 seconds. A 15- to 20-minute Shane-O-Mac/Kane match would require Shane to get some offense in, and since the guy is a non-wrestler it doesn't make ANY sense to have your big scary monster selling for a non-wrestler.

I like the Benoit-to-Raw concept for a couple of reasons: the matches (Benoit-Booker T., Benoit-RVD, Benoit-HHH, Benoit-Michaels, Jericho, etc.) and the potential Workrate Report fodder for the UT-Kane feud, part 45. I do dislike it because they seem to be headed toward a US Title feud on Smackdown between Eddie & Benoit and that would be sweet if they were to keep putting their matches out there.

There would be nothing wrong with it being a squash match.

Kane wouldn't have to sell for Shane like it was Hogan making the big comeback, but Shane's been in the ring enough for it to be believable that he could get some offense in against Kane, especially considering that Kane tombstoned his freakin' mother. Maybe a five minute battle where Shane throws everything he's got at Kane for four minutes until Kane snaps and kicks his ass. That would be a better Raw match than at a PPV, though.

It probably would be better on Raw, but they need to get Kane on the PPV.

The trade idea is just lazy and needlessly cynical. I can see where the cynicism comes from. I just don't agree with it.

My opinion is that Kane is the hook for Raw right now. Triple H's days as the champion are numbered. The past three or four weeks shows have had significantly less Hunter. This week the focus was on Orton and Evolultion as a group. The overall way his character is presented has shifted. IMO, they are tweaking him into a non-title version. Point blank, 1.) Kane's ratings have been higher and 2.) Hunter's leg is fucked up again.

Last week I said that the JR fire angle didn't pop big ratings because people didn't want to stay tuned for a sit down interview. I said that the "word of mouth" for it would show in this week's ratings and it turns out they were the best that the show's done in a long time. Kane's it (thanks to himself, Austin, Bischoff and RVD.)

(Edit: The Michaels / Jericho rating was just as dependent on the Kane storyline as Kane's over run rating was on Michaels / Jericho.)

Why say "Raw's done something good - might as well put it on SD!" Raw's got to stay strong. SD!'s got to be compelling on its own and Lesnar / Angle is an outstanding fucking start (unless you think Lesnar should forever be an unstoppable monster.)

Retro Rob nailed it when he said Kane needs to go over a babyface the crowd cares about. Fuck Shane McMahon though. You had it when you said the title should go Hunter -> Goldberg -> Kane.

You don't need to tie up Lesnar or Angle with Kane. They have Big Show to play with and they're doing okay.

Now, we all know the only people who can beat Goldberg are:

1. Kevin Nash
2. Vince Russo

Booker T, quite frankly (1), should be their champion right now, Chris, having won it at the Wrestlemania.

Neither does HHH. Or anyone in the company. Not to mention saying that someone can't draw when they haven't been put in a position to headline a PPV since August 2001 is kind of retarded.

Shane is only a temporary squash for Kane to do at SummerSlam because I don't think they should waste his match with RVD already. From there he would go after Goldberg.

I agree with, would like to see and kinda think they are looking at the Goldberg over HHH, Goldberg over Kane scenario. I also think, for no substantiated reason, that Goldberg wouldn't have a problem losing the belt to Booker T somewhere down the line. They took on the Magnificent Seven together, man, that's a friendship forged in fire! I just don't know how they'd go about getting to a Booker vs. Goldberg match with Goldberg locked in as a face. Rather see them work to find a way to do it, though, instead of having HHH beat Goldberg to get his win back at Wrestlemania.

The idea of moving Kane to SmackDown doesn't seem like their best move now because Kane may or may not be one of their better ratings draws on Raw. I don't claim to know who brings in what numbers or how people effect them, but if there's even a chance that he's a guy who can get people watching through at least Survivor Series, Raw needs him more than SmackDown. Kane killing a new person every week seems like it would work better without spoiler knowledge floating around, too. And if Goldberg's going to win the belt, he needs another heel to beat after HHH. They need to put the belt on Goldberg at Summerslam, so they need to keep a strong heel around from him to say "You wanna know Who's Next?! YOU'RE NEXT!" to and then make the Homeless Guy Eating Soup Face at on the Raw after Summerslam. He's already beaten Jericho, so Kane's the guy, or they have to go all the way down to...who, Test? Yeah, Kane please.

Whoever HHH feuds with next is a second or third priority at best (I'd worry about what Booker and Jericho are doing before that). Benoit coming over unrelated to Kane leaving would be fine. I'd rather see it be Guerrero, still walking the line between being face or heel, and have him feud with Evolution as a cheating face. HHH/Eddie, Randy/Eddie and Flair thinking Eddie is doing a better job at being the dirtiest player in the game than HHH would make for good enough TV.

If it's a question of what to do with Kane until Goldberg has the belt, well they can still have a full match vs. RVD if they don't need to use that in the month ahead, but is there any kind of chance that The Rock would have the time to fit in a match at SummerSlam to put Kane over like he did with Brock last year? I know there were rumors that he might show up on Raw somewhere around this week or next.

I don't think the Rock is planning on being at SummerSlam, but he will be at Raw next week and I remember him saying that he might even work a match. Having him work an angle (or match) with Kane is probably the way to go. It's not like he needs to be used for any of the other storylines. Unless they feed him to Orton somehow, which would suck big time.
