My only complaint/question with the whole Kane thing, not having seen the show and having no opinion on the look or the tombstone or anything, is does someone have to press charges when they were shown being set on fire on live television? I hate when they bring the whole "legal" stuff into an angle, because for me it always leaves plot holes that irk me. And if no one is pressing charges, then how the hell is he under "house arrest"?

I don't know how I would resolve that. Perhaps have them say that the cops looked at Kane's rather troubled mental state and his past and all that, and on the advice of doctors and his employer, decided the best way to handle the situation would be to enforce a monitoring situation but not to throw him directly into jail. Something where they acknowledge he was punished for his actions, but that it was decided to do something unconventional to try and handle the situation. It wouldn't be perfect, but it would be less problematic for me than this situation is.

I guess I could bring Shane-O Mac's name into this, but that would only get my hopes up. He's a mama's boy, isn't he?

Shane/Kane could be a fun SS match, if Austin can't go. Plus, it rhymes!

You know the onlt thing that was certain about the Y2J/HBK rematch last night was that some folks here would bitch about the outcome. As far as I can tell it leaves the feud open for a third and final blow off match (where by then we might have face Jericho and heel Michaels) and also sets up a feud with a young up and coming wrestler in Orton.

Michaels is till given protective booking because it makes wins over him mean something, and besides, faces rarely lose clean. The guys still arguably the most over face on RAW so jobbing him out to all and sundry would be ridiculous.

Wait, didn't Lita injure her neck while shooting an episode of "Dark Angel"?

My bad. I know she hurt it filming "Dark Angel" but what I meant was it was messing up a hurricanranna that hurt Lita's neck and I see it in Gail's future. That girl has injury written all over her.

I guess the brand split must be working, since until I read this sentence, it literally did not occur to me how the rest of the McMahons would react to Linda getting tombstoned. I mean, Vince HAS to mention this on Smackdown in some respects, right? I know he's currently a heel against Zach Gowen, but his own wife getting attacked by a wrestler has to be a major enough deal for Vince to get involved. Perhaps he'll force a trade with RAW to send Undertaker over to take care of his little brother.

Sending Kane over to Smackdown would be a mistake. After all, not everyone gets Smackdown. Imagine if you're a Raw-only viewer -- you've been following Kane's transformation from heatless upper-midcarder to monster heel for weeks, and the "payoff" you get is Kane disappearing off to a show you can't watch. Kinda anticlimactic. Bringing Undertaker, or another face, over from Smackdown to try to whip sense into Kane might be better, but I'd much rather see Raw try and build up its own faces instead of having to import them. Of course, faces are so thin on the ground on Raw we might wind up having to endure Kane/Nash at Summerslam ... but I persist in thinking a well-booked match against Kane at Summerslam would help greatly in getting Booker T or RVD up the ladder.

I don't mind Vince ignoring Linda getting tombstoned, for the sake of keeping the storyline simple -- and relatively McMahon-free. If you need to rationalize it, well, heel Vince was the guy who cheated on Linda with a bevy of divas and tried to get her committed while she was comatose; not caring about her being tombstoned would be a minor issue compared to that.

PLEASE.. don't even entertain the notion of Vince coming to Raw! The last thing we need is Vince screwing up another potentially good storyline!

If anything, this is a good excuse for Shane to come back. If I'm not mistaken he's had some good matches with Kane. (I think?).

I think they're doing a decent enough job making Kane into a monster, but the legal system thing brings me out of it because I know people who have been under house arrest, and they DON'T let you out to go to work. You stay in your home. Period. Maybe it differs from case to case, (the person I knew was being used as an example for graffiti and so had the book thrown at them... the prosecutor went so far as to compare him to Jeffrey Dahmer. Seriously.)but knowing what I know about my friends experience, it makes it hard for me to buy Kane being allowed to come to the arena and beat up more people. But that's just me. If you don't know specifics about house arrest, it's a reasonable enough explanation, even if it's the bare minimum they could do.

GLJ, you are a credit to society my friend. Thanks for the good Live Report recap and nice pictures as well

As for the show, I was going in with high expectations but it came out a little dry. Lawler & Coach's act needs to stop now.

-Bischoff/LindaMac/Austin interview- Bischoff wasn't wearing his DeadCow. Linda didn't come out to the Wrestlemania theme but she came out to this awesome rave techno beats. Her entrance will be the BEST if it had some techno lights and she passes around E to everyone. Linda Mack Raving Queen!... This interview had nothing of not but it's okay I love Linda's techno electrona euro-beats, I hope she makes an more appearances if I could hear that!

-Molly/Victoria vs. Gail/Trish- Gail just looks so out of place there, looks totally green, & I'm not just talking about her botched spot(that sort of stuff happens) but most of her moveset are flashy but looks weak. Her hurricarnas are pretty subpar, she puts no leg strength behind it and it looks like Molly has to sell a forward flip with very little realistic force on Gail's part. Need to get the title off her quick, for her own longterm good and she needs to go back to OVW to work on her basics or do Heat duty & work with a vet and get confident & comfortable... This match was actually good before Gail tagged in, Victoria & Trish just wow me. Best move, Vicky went for her twisting sideslam with Trish reversing it mid-move with a beautiful headscissors! Ending was nicely planned, Nice spear by Gail to Vicky, Molly ran to Trish who Matrix ducks her then went for a chick kick and hit Gail pretty hard.

-Orton vs. Venis- Not much happened in this match, A nice Orton dropkick, Val goes to the top and misses the splash. Orton hits an RKO, which looks like a poor mans stunner. There's not grip to it to make it seem like it hurts. HHH was pretty good in commentary... I was getting into the Evolution, but this week they took a few steps back, No Lyrics needed in that cool entrance!. And those T-shirt, I like the front but the slogan is so lame. Goldberg comes in confronts HHH, evolution leaves. Goldberg goes to pose on the ropes and slips a couple of fans laugh, Goldberg gets pissed and flips them off. Gawd Goldberg is a total moron, why doesn't he no-sell the fans reaction like he does his opponents.

-Jericho vs. Michaels- Coach & King antics really took away from this match. It was also a total drag having Jericho be a throw away part with Ortons interference. Maybe I'm overstating it but this makes me think Jericho = Ultimo Dragon beating Noble to set up more Noble vs. Gunn. Sure Jericho is in a much higher plateau but in the end it was all on Orton including the focus replay of what happened... On a brighter note they got 25 minutes, with some memorable moments like Jericho springing off the 2nd rope and jumping over the top & Michaels the Michaels springing off the 2nd rope to the outside. Also the HIGH backbody drop bump over the top rope by Michaels. The match was very good and entertaining but never really found it's paced to be Great match and it wasn't near their WM match.

-Booker T vs. Test- What? there was a match going on. Pointless IC title, so Test is feuding with Steiner still.

-Kane/RVD- Really liked Kane's entrance, the monster being all chained up coming into the ring, ripping the towel out and bringing up the fire. Very Cool Indeed! Also get to hear more of his kickin entrance music(what is with me and WWE entrance music today, mentioned it 3 times LoL). RVD comes charging out and hits starts out strong but quickly controlled by Kane, and smashes RVD into a wall and electric sparks start flashing OH NO Tourettes RVD "Du- Du- Dude"... Techno Linda comes out and actually bleeds! TSN Censors the tombstone. I think Arn Anderson has TSN laser eye vision because he didn't see it either, but helped himself and all TSN viewers out by asking "What happened?". "She Got Tombstoned!"

-other stuff- Jericho was pretty awesome backstage "Hollywood ain't that great, it's kind of shady" LoL... Hurricane & Rosey, yeah that will work... Oh man Steph vs. Sable gets their own video package for a PPV ad, ahh do I hate the WWE way of thinking sometimes.

Line of the night: Jericho "Hollywood ain't that great, it's kind of shady"
Sign of the night: Anything Kobe
3stars of the night: 1)Jericho. 2)Michaels. 3)Trish - Honorable mentions to Linda McMahons awesome techno beats and her blood runs cold from her forehead... Kane's cool entrance... And Lillian's low cut top. Wowwy

WARNING: I'm using rational thought here:
JR wouldn't have to file or press criminal charges against Kane since the assault/BBQ happened on TV and was viewed/witnessed by multiple people. He could only file civil charges-- which couldn't lead to jail time. Since Kane is under "house arrest," this means some sort of criminal charges were already filed against him. So basically, the whole WWE poll was based on the question, "Should JR take Kane to court in the hopes of getting a whole-lotta moolah?"

Eh.

-Regarding Raw, I would've loved it if Eric Bischoff tried to reason with Linda McMahon by saying, "Y'know, Linda, maybe if you acted a little 'friendlier' your husband wouldn't cheat on you all the time." Or maybe Eric could've enlisted Kevin Nash's help and tried to bribe her with hair-care tips? That Shatner-style hairdo she's wearing is a mess.

-Speaking of hair, HBK shouldn't lay on the ground like that for protracted periods of time. It really exposes his baldness.

-Asian girls with small breasts should be carefull about losing their tops.

-Goldberg is over. Really over.

-Coach would be infinitely more interesting if he just said, "F*ck JR! I just wish I was there when Kane did his Richard Pryor impression and brought a bag of marshmellows."

-Kane is violating the cardinal rule of baldness: If you shave your head, you need facial hair to even things out. Everyone knows this.

Good show. But you know that wrestling is on the outs when the biggest star they could drag from Hollywood to the show is Meat Head.

LOL!!!

And one thing about the Linda tombstone-- look, I'll overlook how loose the maneuver was on the count that (1) Linda's not a trained wrestler and most likely isn't even in the physical condition of someone like her daughter, and (2) the only bumping Linda McMahon has done (besides with the Genetic Jackhammer Vince) has been taking a slap from Nipple H.

It's sad that Linda McMahon is capable of taking a higher risk bump than Stone Cold at this point

But who knows, maybe they are building to a payoff with Kane and Austin.....maybe he's not as bad off as everyone lets on.....

Big Bad: Yeah, I noticed that bit with Arn and Coach at the very end. They thought she'd been chokeslammed, but when they found out it was a Tombstone, you could tell Arn (and presumably the other officials) were thinking "ohhhh SHIT." I think that sometimes (hell, it's been proven in this thread) that some people get hung up on the execution that they forget what's actually going on.

And just to further that point... who's gonna remember that there were two run-ins during the Jericho/Michaels match? People are going to remember Michaels tapping in the middle of the ring to the Walls. That's IT. No one really CARES how they got to that point, ESPECIALLY because the run-ins didn't lead immediately to the finish.

NHS: Yeah, on one of Gail's ranas, I could tell that Molly was throwing herself to compensate for the fact that Gail wasn't throwing her. King's explanation for the blown spot, though, helped to cover her ass quite nicely. It is still a pretty risky move, ya know.

I think everyone is going to remember how the finish occurred, since it looks like it will be the starting point to a Michaels/Orton feud. I believe there's enough historical precedent for me to presume that Jericho will get NO elevation out of his win over HBK, and will likely be shunted off into a mid-card feud with Nash or Booker T.

The only problem I had with Evolution getting involved was I thought it meant that Jericho was going to align with Evolution, the thought of which horrified me. After reading this thread, you all helped me realize that Orton's interference wasn't about doing something for Jericho, but doing something to piss off HBK, and continue Orton's "Legend Killer" gimmick. That's OK, then... (I bet he'll call himself "the new sexy boy" again next week.)

Now Kane, I'm a little more concerned about. I love the manacles, but I worry that they're trying too hard to get us to boo him. I get the feeling someone decided, "they're cheering Kane, even though he burned up good ol JR... bring on the defenseless old lady!" If we keep cheering him, are puppies and nuns next? I think that they really need to accept that the new Kane is cool, and will get more cheers than boos regardless of the evil they have him do, and work around it.

Just watch, now I've said that, he'll be regaled with boos next week. (Doubt it, though.)

Simple! (Warning: Gross Racial Stereotyping here): Asian girls' besst (ahem) ASSets are their tight bodies and beautiful faces. So, she should've lost her shorts, not her top. Top-heavy blondes like Trish's best assets are their breasts, so TRISH should've lost her top. See?

Think of it this way: When Stacy was dancing atop Steiner, she took off her skirt. And that made MUCH more sense than taking off her top.
