| #3 Posted on 19.7.03 1245.29 Reposted on: 19.7.10 1246.12 | It was between Bubba Dudley and Sylvan Grenier. Grenier blew a spot (supposed to make a save, but forgot), so Bubba stiffed him as a receipt. Bubba didn't have any heat with anyone backstage because they all feel Grenier was pushed out of OVW way too soon and only as a favor to Pat Patterson. Plus, Grenier has a bad reputation for how he acts backstage. Grenier confronted Bubba backstage and started yelling at him about it. They got into a small scuffle. They were forced to shake hands afterwards and there were no more problems.
Bubba didn't have any real heat for this, and Grenier already has enough heat with the boys in the back, that this didn't really make a difference. | redsoxnation

Let's just say Patterson saw "potential" in Grenier as a WWE superstar. Of course he saw this potential by watching him flex, sweat, squat, and numerous other acts except for wrestling. | Ubermonkeys

Because truly, nothing is going to make smarks drool more than Dudleys SHOOT~! news. Just look at that buyrate soar as 8 million people want to see if Buh Buh might punch Sylvain extra hard. Come on.
As someone who used to enjoy the Dudleys, I have to say that somehow, even under the watchful strict eye of the WWF, Buh Buh's become more of an asshole than he ever was in ECW. I can understand him getting mad at Grenier for missing the spot, but damn, is it worth losing your temper over? I remember not long after Nowinski debuted, Buh Buh had potatoed him big time on a house show and Chris's face looked like absolute shit for a few weeks after.
I guess being a dick to the young guys who might be too green to be on the roster is a Time Honored Tradition, but it's one of those things about wrestling that I just don't care for or even sometimes understand. Next time a rookie gets brought up too early and makes a mistake, Buh Buh can go punch Vince in the mouth for calling somebody up from OVW too early. It's not their fault for being there. | InVerse

(Was he was involved in Batista's injury during that same match?) Perhaps he feels Grenier was infringing on his trademarked spot blowing. | Notorious F.A.B.

Orton & Bubba got injured when a flapjack got fucked up and Bubba landed on Orton's foot, crushing it. Batista tore his tricep (or was it his bicep?) but I'm not sure if it was due to a botched move or a freak accident, such as when Orton tore his bicep just by rebounding off the ropes or HHH tearing his quadracep. | Notorious F.A.B.

The stuff about Batista's arm injuries reminded me of an article I read about the all around increase of pulled muscles in atheletes today. I don't remember which type of work out it blamed but the actual cause was not having enough "cool down" excercise for the muscle, which makes it more susceptable to tearing. | BigVitoMark

As for Bubba, he's a grade-A asshole. Ditto with D-Von. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe it does take two tough guys to get up in a local media relations guy's face because he can't find you a sports drink on short notice. | darkdragoon

These comments about Patterson and Grenier are really starting to get stupid. So since Pat's gay and he saw potential in Grenier, they're automatically screwing behind the sceens? That's so lame. Just remember, Patterson was also the one who first saw The Rock wrestle and told Vince he had potential. But I guess Pat was fucking him as well. Grow up people.... | InVerse

Right, it's not ballet. So when someone misses a spot, nobody except the people involved in the match are even going to notice. Hence, there's no reason to get pissy about it. | darkdragoon

of course, but apparently even the canadian fans dislike Grenier and will chant "You F--k Pat" to him, hence their being on Heat last week. | fuelinjected
