Anyway, No Way Out will mark the 40th PPV in a Row in where either Austin, Rock or HHH is in the main event. By "main event" I'm counting the WWF title match, or the last match on the card if there is no WWF title match.
If you count "guest referees" as being part of the main event or add the Undertaker to the mix, it becomes 50. Add Shawn Michaels to the foursome (Taker, Rock, HHH, SCSA) and you're up to 62 (63 if you count One Night Only). Hell, I even went and added Bret Hart and got 76 PPV's. OK, now I have to get up to 100. Add Diesel and you get to 89. Add Yokozuna and you get to 94. Actually, after this it all goes to shit and you have to add Savage, Hogan, there's the 92 R.R. that doesn't really have a main event, so I'm stopping at 94. I guess we'll have to wait 6 months.
But anyway, the point of this was to point out that HHH, Rock, and Austin are really heads and tails above everyone else and have been for the last 3-4 years. The mark of being one of the elite is carrying someone else (not wrestling-wise, buyrate-wise) in a PPV main event, and nobody has really done it, although I guess there's an arguement for the Undertaker. But not Foley, Angle, and Jericho.
Moe
P.S. Anyway, Streak Breakers are:
41 PPV's ago: Kane vs. Undertaker with Austin as guest referee
51 PPV's ago: Shawn Michaels vs. Ken Shamrock
64 PPV's ago: Bret Hart vs. Sid
77 PPV's ago: Diesel vs. British Bulldog
90 PPV's ago: Lex Lugar vs. Yokozuna
95 PPV's ago: Randy Savage vs. The Ultimate Warrior

Hate to break this to you, but don't hold your breath. It'll take Benoit at least until that long to claw his way back up to World Title contender level, and it'd be a miracle of Jericho can stay there that long, being somewhat of a choke artist.
Once Benoit wins the belt in another year and a half to two years, I can see him defending the belt against Jericho at a "minor" PPV. | Quezzy

Oh ok. I was thinking of this Wrestlemania, and wasn't even considering next year since I think it's definitely possible we get a main event without Austin, HHH, and the Rock before then. They have Hogan, Hall, Nash, Jericho, Angle, even Benoit, Booker, and RVD could main event a minor ppv before then. | TheBucsFan

But I think the 50th with HHH, Rock, Austin and (Austin guest ref/Taker...take your pick) is pretty neat.

Another impressive streak, first brought to my attention by Rick Scaia: Back before The Rock went on to film his movie, he fought at 42 consecutive PPVs, or 3 1/2 years of PPVs with the Rock on them. The longest streak now belongs to Edge, I believe. Don't quote me on that though. | cfgb
