I was going to say DDT Digest, but I didn't know whether it would count or not. The all-time top ten lists is great reading, even it is very dated. All of the recaps were fun to read. That complex design of his can't be beat. I liked how Bill also shared some "old-school" WWF stuff on his site since he was probably an old WWF fan.
On that tangent, I would also like to name Wade's Wrestling Stuff and Xavier Doom's Slayground as great long-gone sites.

Also, these are the first wrestling sites that I went to when I first got AOL lo those many years ago. Wrestlepress.com, WrestlingInsider.com, K-Rock and TooSweet's wrestlingheadlines.com (which I found through the wrestlepress site, IIRC) Anyone remember these? | Snowball

Mike Samuda's news reports, before he joined Rick Scaia.
The Grandstand, which hosted ECW's official site as well as the Wrestling Chatterbox. It later evolved into cybrsports before disappearing entirely.
Does Oliver P (I can't even begin to spell that last name) still have a site open?
Steve Black's WrestleWeb.
Hack-Man Otto Heuer, who still has a site. It hasn't been updated in about five years, though.
Yes, I remember K-Rock and TooSweet. Most had a newsboard as well as some media. I think I still have a couple of picture files from that place. | bradbice

Micasa '98 and '99 were fun.
WrestleLine sucked but I miss it for some reason.
TooSweet's Wrestling Headlines was my first wrestling site. Then his and K-Rock's Wrestling Headlines was a definite daily stop for a long time.
XWrestling was awesome. I definitely miss that one.
ScoopThis was good until it got too high on itself.
WrestlingArena had good screen captures but was one of the trashy group of sites that leached off the big guns.
the-revolution.net intrigued me...

| #7 Posted on 16.7.03 2306.48 Reposted on: 16.7.10 2308.07 | There was a 'newz'board that was around a few years ago that was decent for only one reason. The site was called wwfwcf.com (I think). It was the typical newsboard site with hokey rumors and stolen news bits from all the usual legit sites and all, but the one thing that was decent about the site was the fact that for every major PPV, whoever did the ongoing coverage also included screen captures of matches in progress. I was able to grab screehshots of Booker T winning the WCW World Title for the first time and him holding up the belt. It was his first moment of glory with the world's heavyweight championship. (Yeah, it certainly doesn't rank as great.)
I've only been able to go online since getting a computer back in late 1999, so I think I ended up missing most of the older sites that were around. But I'm glad I found slashwrestling when the URL was still crz.net/wrestling. Otherwise I wouldn't be a wiener!
And does oursocalledsport count? I REALLY miss that site, especially 'Taker's columns. Priceless and HILARIOUS. | Zeruel

| #14 Posted on 17.7.03 0928.13 Reposted on: 17.7.10 0929.01 | Micasa and the News From Dayton were the first two sites I found along the IWC road, after reading CRZ in usenet. I always thought Mike and Rick had good writing styles, used actual nouns and verbs, usually spelled correctly and in general, didn't insult my intellegence. In those days, I suspect I wandered around (scoops, 1Bob, ddtdigest), but those were the ones I visited on a regular basis. I still visit OO - but the people on their forums don't do anything for me

Wow, is that ever telling. The two highlights for me:
MIKE: Do you still keep in touch with your father? TORRIE: Yeah.
And now he's.... sniff.... GONE....
and
MIKE: Would you ever pose for Playboy? TORRIE: No. MIKE: Is that a moral issue for you? Or is it that you're shy? TORRIE: It's just something I feel, to be a role model for people, for girls, I don't really need to do that. I don't see it pushing my career as far as acting goes.
