...and as a result, White Stripes tour dates are canceled for at least the next month. Since I was supposed to see them in Mississauga on August 5th, I am not a happy camper right now.

The injury apparently occurred during a car accident in Detroit, and Renee Zellweger also happened to be in the car (wtf?). No word on whether the injury is to Jack's strumming or fingering hand.

If she was in the car, perhaps this was one of those car accidents like in The World According to Garp. Though at least it turned out better for Jack than it did for the guy in that book.

Yeah, I had White Stripes tickets for the 1st in Pittsburgh. I too am more than a tad upset. (Especially considering I was supposed to see them, "Weird Al" Yankovic and the Eels in a five-day stretch, and both the Stripes and the Eels have cancelled on me.)

Oh well, at least I've got Lollapalooza on Saturday.

I think Jack could lose three more fingers and still play the same music. I don't understand why this group is popular? They remind me of Local H, but without the talent.
