...and as a result, White Stripes tour dates are canceled for at least the next month. Since I was supposed to see them in Mississauga on August 5th, I am not a happy camper right now.

The injury apparently occurred during a car accident in Detroit, and Renee Zellweger also happened to be in the car (wtf?). No word on whether the injury is to Jack's strumming or fingering hand.

They're dating.

To me, not as bizarre as Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz.

If she was in the car, perhaps this was one of those car accidents like in The World According to Garp. Though at least it turned out better for Jack than it did for the guy in that book.

Ah, literary jokes.

    Ah, literary jokes.

I was waiting for you to say "strumming or fingering" again.

Yeah, I had White Stripes tickets for the 1st in Pittsburgh. I too am more than a tad upset. (Especially considering I was supposed to see them, "Weird Al" Yankovic and the Eels in a five-day stretch, and both the Stripes and the Eels have cancelled on me.)

Oh well, at least I've got Lollapalooza on Saturday.

I think Jack could lose three more fingers and still play the same music. I don't understand why this group is popular? They remind me of Local H, but without the talent.

Y'know, I'm sitting here listening to Here Comes the Zoo and Elephant and I can't see any similarities at all. Except for each bands love of Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.
Jack's vocals and Scott Lucas long psychadelic songs (Hands on the Bible, Tame Me, What Would You Have Me Do?)

I was referring two them being two person bands, with a guitar and a drum set. And with red and white album art work, it's erie!
