Zito found this out today, as he was tossing a ball around at US Cellular Field, the site of the All-Star game. Clemens, I think, either knew well in advance or was as shocked as everybody else when he found out. I'm leaning (like the Tower) to the former. This is just bullshit. Why wasn't there a "commissioner's decision" to get Pedro into the game, who deserves it as much (or more) than Clemens? He could conceivably have 14 wins this year, but Clemens gets in with his record and the 300th win. I am far from the biggest Roger fan, but the guy should be on the team. He is having a solid year, and this is his last go-around.
