I would like to say something about scott keith. I read him. I read his rants everytime they are posted on 411. I dont always agree with them, and I find that he hates EVERYTHING, but, I read them, everytime. You know you do too. So lets give the guy some credit for once. I am not trying to draw any cheap heat here either, but I see him gettng bagged everywhere, and I think we should all admit, love or hate, we read him. He is the IWC's #1 most guilty pleasure.
I also agree that RD reynolds should have made the IWC 100.
I also think that the Toronto fans booing Zach Gowan was funny.
I also miss Billy Red Lyons.
Thats all.

Scott, is that you?
EDIT~Just to add a little real content to this post, let me say that Scott Keith threads usually go in the "Site Bashing" forum, just for your own info.

| #3 Posted on 12.7.03 1541.57 Reposted on: 12.7.10 1542.26 | Lemme preface this by saying, I'm not a huge Keith fan. His rants are well-written, with occasionaly over-reliance on inside jokes (which, in my opinion, hurt his recent book). I rarely agree with a lot of his opinions in wrestling, but hey, we're too different people, with two different tastes. I also had issues with some of the factual errors in his last book.
However, the guy gave me a hell of a compliment on my writing once on his website, when he had no reason to, so I have trouble jumping on the "Bash Keith" bandwagon.
If Scott Keith really wants to impress me (Which he doesn't, why would he?). He can finish the fiction story he started on Rantsylvania, How I Spent My Armageddon.
(If you want to check it out yourself, click here. and scroll halfway down the page. Your mileage may vary, but I enjoyed it quite a bit)
It had nothing to do with wrestling, so no natural biases, it contained historical and fictional characters, and was quite the enjoyable read. It was very funny, but not so much as to bog down the actual story. In fact, my only complaint, is that it's quite derivative of Douglas Adams' work. Keith realized this, and refused to make apologies for it, as it stood up well on its own as a starting work. Of course, this may be influenced by the fact that I am quite obviously a big Adams fan.
If Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett can write a heavily Douglas Adams influenced story (Good Omens), get it published, and have some success with it, I fail to see why Keith shouldn't give it a shot. Wrestling's popularity is dying, and Keith obviously has an "in" with a publisher. It wouldn't hurt to write out the whole friggin' thing.

I think some people watch a show, read the rant, and then form an opinion on what they watched.

I enjoy his stuff for the most part. Is there usually a negative tone to it? Sure. But I don't think there's anything wrong with reading someone else's opinion, and then judging for yourself if the match or show in question is really THAT negative. | AWArulz

If you're serious, JayJayDean, he's a guy who has been writing about wresting on Usenet and the Internet for a quite a few years, much like our delightful Host Christopher Robert Zimmerman.
Back in the dark ages, the only "smart" wrestling writing came out of Scott Keith, CRZ, Bob Ryder, Mike Samuda, Rick Scaia, Al Isaacs and a few others. And all of them were good, with different styles. Scott and CRZ were always known as recappers, but very different. Many perceive SKeith as being negative with his "Rants" (His site used to be Rantsyvania). I think the loyal fans of one writer or another then to want to start battles over their writer from time to time, which is why you see stuff here (and over at other sites.) No big deal. I read them, laugh at them often, and then click "Mark forum read."
I personally stopped reading Skeith when he stopped being on whatever site Rick Scaia was running (onlineonslaught.com these days). I am one of those who thinks that he is too negative. But that's why different people write. To each his own. Nothing would nake me happier (in the wrestling world, anyway) than CRZ doing recaps again. But I am all for being happy and if he's happy not doing them, I'm ok with that. But I love his work. | CRZ

Maybe that's why so many net writers and net nerds like to bash him. I always thought that Scott's writing was like a McDonald's chesseburger -- it's bland, pretty much unoffensive, so it apeals to a broad section of wrestling readers ... if that makes any sense. Plus he's got such a vast body of work out there now it can be handy for a quick reference. The main knock I have against him is I think that he borrows from The Meltz a little too much.
