I just found this site a little while ago. It looks like a similar structure to Netflix, where you can keep two games as long as you want, for a little over twenty bucks a month. Or you can purchase the game at a "low pre-played price", whatever that means.
Anyone else seen this or used it before? How's the service and/or the quality of the games that show up. One of the reasons I quit renting from Blockbuster was that the discs were always in such a crappy condition. If this is better, it would be an great alternative... | Promote this thread! | | uberlou

I signed up for the free 10-day trial which automatically gives you the 2-game account. The normal price for that subscription is about $22 a month. But I already knew I would probably try it out for a full month so I changed my subscription to a 1 game system which is about $14/month. Actually, pretty dumb idea since I did that before ordering my games. I should've done that right before the end of the free trial.
I've had GTA:Vice City for almost 2 weeks now (my free trial just rant out). Basically, they'll email you once the game's been shipped (in my case, I got the notice the next morning after I put it in my queue), and depending on where you are, you'll get it in 2-3 days. I got mine quickly. Ordered it on Thursday, got the notice on Friday, got the game on Saturday. It comes in an orange and white envelope. Make sure to read any instructions and open it where it says to open it on the envelope since there's a return mailer inside and you wouldn't want to mess that up.
All you have to do is keep the mailer and play your game. Keep at as long as you want, no due dates or nothing. You don't get a manual, but their website has all the basic controls for each game. The disc was in excellent condition and I may renew for another month.
You can also choose to keep your game and their prices are well below retail prices. Right now I can keep this copy of Vice City for $34.99.
I have never rented games from video stores before, nor have I used other sites like netflix, but i'd give gamefly two thumbs up. Quick service, games are in excellent condition, reasonable prices, it's all good.
I'd say, at least go for the 10-day free trial and get something less story-line oriented so you don't get hooked and just see for yourself how things work.
here's TSS' review of it if you'd like to hear what they have to say: http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/products/story/0,24330,3440447,00.html

Although I really have no problems with Gamefly.com at this point. I still have Vice City but may return it soon seeing that I don't want to mess up my one month membership on one game. | Bongo P. Michinoku
