Anyone finished it twice? Is it worth playing through again? | Promote this thread! | | senor sangre

I've heard somewhere that you can understand the language that the Dragon and Jabu Jabu speak. I got the GBA cable so I could connect Metroid Fusion and Prime if I ever beat either of them, so I might try Zelda one day using the Tingle Tuner. | Teapot

You get a new set of clothes (as does Aryll), and you start with the Deluxe Picto Box if collecting figurines is important to you. That's what took me so long, was collecting the figurines (including the Knuckle one). I also got the Tingle statues from each of the dungeons. The annoying part is only having three slots for pictographs. I think those are the only changes. | HrdCoreJoe

I'm a little miffed that Hyrule couldn't be brought back, but at least they left us with hope that another land will be found eventually for future games. As far as I'm concerned, the Zelda series can do no wrong, and I LIKED the second game! | Tenken347

| #7 Posted on 10.6.03 1331.53 Reposted on: 10.6.10 1334.38 | I gotta agree... I totally loved the final battle. Granted, if I were designing it, it would have been a straight- up swordfight, without all of the light-arrow nonesense. Granted, that is a pretty running theme in the Zelda series on how to beat Gannon, but still... I just liked it. Why would Link go through all of that trouble to gain a Master Sword, train to use it, and hardly use it at all when the final battle came?

| #8 Posted on 10.6.03 1444.30 Reposted on: 10.6.10 1451.40 | The Master Sword did get the final hit in. The light arrow seemed mostly to weaken/stun Gannon to allow that.
My only problem with the final battle was that I wouldn't be ready for Zelda's shot, and she would hit me instead of the shield. Of course, going in full with two fairies and a bottle of soup, I was left with only three hearts when I finally won. | Guru Zim

| #9 Posted on 10.6.03 1839.28 Reposted on: 10.6.10 1848.39 | Well, see, I guess I was just dense, but it was really frustrating for me.
I got Gannon down to the last hit with most of my stuff left. It took 2 fairies and a soup for me to realize that the "Press A" was flashing. I kept trying to sweep behind him or hit him from the side.
This was with Zelda repeating herself every 20 seconds. I started yelling "I fucking know, bitch. Just shoot him!"
Ugh. I was so pissed when I realized I had just needed to do it one time. I probably bounced 100 light arrows into him before I figured it out.
The second time I played the ending through it took about 15 seconds to beat that part. I think it took me 8-9 minutes the first time, maybe longer.
I was pissed. | EddieBurkett

My girlfriend was with me, and we were both getting rather *irritated* that Zelda was being more of a harm than a help.
The rest of your experience sounds exactly like mine, so don't consider yourself too dense. (Not that I make a great benchmark.) | PhilRippa

| #11 Posted on 16.6.03 1152.36 Reposted on: 16.6.10 1154.44 | I had the same problem Eddie was having was I always seemed to be unprepared when Zelda was shooting the arrows and she kept plunging me, I was getting to the point where I was ready to start aiming at her.
I was amused by the way Gannon went out. I did remember thinking... "Hmmm.... that certainly is a little hardcore for all the 6 year olds who one this game in a day while it took me a month."
I did start to play through again but then my copies of CM4 and Ocarina of Time and Master Quest showed up so I moved on to them.
