This is the newsbit floating around (on your friendly neighborhood c&p, but starting from 1wrestling)

Goldberg Not Booked For First Ever RAW Only PPV

Bad Blood on June 15th will not be the first ever RAW only PPV. Actually, the honor will go to the Insurrextion show in Newcastle, England on June 7th.

Now, ignoring the deceptive title, there's also the matter of this:

Insurrextion 2002
May 4, 2002 in London
Wembley Arena drawing 10,500
Shown live on UK PPV

Mr. Perfect pinned Goldust.

Rob Van Dam beat WWF I-C Champ Eddie Guerrero (11:23) via DQ.

Trish Stratus & Jacquelyn beat Molly Holly & Jazz (7:40) when Jacquelyn pinned Holly.

X-Pac pinned Bradshaw (8:47).

Booker T pinned Steven Richards (10:32) to win the WWF Hardcore Title. After the match, the following wrestlers won the title: Crash Holly, Booker T, and Steven Richards.

Matt & Jeff Hardy beat Brock Lesnar & Shawn Stasiak (6:54) when Jeff pinned Stasiak.

WWF European Champ Spike Dudley pinned William Regal (4:56).

Steve Austin pinned The Big Show (16:00). Ric Flair was the special referee.

Triple H pinned The Undertaker (14:29).

I haven't seen the 1wrestling version of this story, but I hope they put that comment right next to a smarmy "JR didn't rememeber a non-match from 13 years ago!" comment, for irony's sake.

And what about all those PPVs from before Smackdown started airing?

Aren't those "Raw-only" shows? ;-)

Of course not! You're forgetting about Sunday Night Heat and WWF Superstars

If I could play Devil's Advocate for a moment - at the time of that PPV, HHH was on the Smackdown roster, so in the most technical sense, it wasn't a RAW-only PPV. (Just like how Booker T made a guest appearance at Rebellion towards the end of 2002.)

I know, I know, it's all nitpicking...

What I don't like about it (at least the 1wrestling version I spotted yesterday) is they have in big letters something like:

And they KNOW that most people will be thinking that he's no-showing Bad Blood. If they dispute that, why not just write `Goldberg not to be at UK only PPV' or something like that?

It's all about the clicks, I guess...

And it was just announced that Goldberg WILL be appearing at the main event, no less!

(Sorry to revive this thread after like 6 days, but I thought this was a good point to finish it off with.)

According to, he's been replaced by Scott Steiner.

Ouch. I think I'd rather them scrap the match altogether.

Steiner? Oh, how nice. The UK main event's being saddled with a roided-out hyper-American patriot.

Or does Vinnie Mac think the Brits will welcome him with open arms, since Bush and Blair are so "buddy-buddy" with each other?

Neither Goldberg nor Scott Steiner wre in the main event. It was a street fight between Nash and HHH. In fact it seemed like a run through for Bad Blood, the match line up was so similar.
