nowhere in the report does it mention retirement. I saw the headline on 411 saying it, but after reading the article, wonder how they got that.

Flair will retire -- for real, for good, forever -- at the same time as Hogan, Piper and Terry Funk.

That is, about three weeks after they die and have been cremated. Not until then. And even then, the remains may be brought back for one final Last Urn Standing match.

Think I'm nuts? Mae Young wrestled matches not too long ago. Tenacious Z is demonstrating that you don't need two functioning legs to be an active wrestler (though Piper's been proving that for years). Dangerous precedents have been set here, folks...

Why would they waste a potential money drawing "retirement match" in a one shot Raw fued and blow-off?

I hope not , because I think he could do a really great match with someone awesome and then do the speech all on the air.

I think the tribute to Flair will join the "Taker-Roonie" in things that won't see the light of day for quite some time.

Dear God, let the cameras have been rolling on that post-match stuff...and let it come to DVD someday.

Call me weird, but the only one I'd like to see Flair face in his retirement match is STING. Their feuds and matches back in the NWA and WCW were legendary. Have the four horsemen (the originals) in his corner, too. If Flair's on his way out eventually, make it worthwhile. Make it memorable. Jobbing to Vince McMahon's favorite son (sort of) doesn't count in my books.
