I have seen the indy shows this group has put on before. They have been good and had big names, but I want to know if New Jack is someone I should make a special effort to see. I just know he used alot of weapons, that is about it. | Promote this thread! | | MarchOfThePigs

That IS just it... It depends solely on what YOU'RE into. New Jack certainly isn't for everyone - myself included.
His offense consists of some sickening weapons use, and a balcony dive. If you're into serious violence, then make an effort to see him. However, if you're more of a WWF style fan, you probably won't really enjoy New Jack a whole lot. | dskillz

THAT is the only reason I ever enjoyed a New Jack match. Having the music played during the whole entire match was just plain cool.

| #9 Posted on 11.2.02 1424.53 Reposted on: 11.2.09 1429.03 | The best New Jack moment of all time had to be during of his pay-per-view plunderfests (Living Dangerously '99, vs. Mustafa), when he swung a guitar at his hapless opponent and it BROKE OFF in mid-swing. New Jack was left with a guitar neck in his hands and a REALLY stunned look on his face, as the base of the guitar flew into the crowd. That look alone was nearly worth the purchase price.
To cover for it, Mustafa did his best to stand very still and do nothing while New Jack motioned to the crowd to throw the rest of the guitar back. They did, Mustafa got kabonged, and the match proceeded to get _worse_ from there, frighteningly enough... | BigDaddyLoco

I have, actually. Before he and his even-less talented partner Mustafa went to ECW, they were in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. There they actually attempted a couple of holds and stuff. | Excalibur05

He made fun of some fat rookie that couldn't throw a drop kick, and I'm thinking, "So let's see you drop kick somebody, Bob Holly," but I didn't say anything because he's killed people before. The match he was in was pretty lame, and he really gouged a guy up pretty bad and no-sold a lot of plundah shots. He doesn't rank high on the asshole meter like other guys I've met (like Kevin Nash or OVW's Kenny Bolen), but then again there wasn't much about the guy that would make me want to hang out with him (unless I was caught in a gunfight). | albert44

Of course, then again he doesn't try to throw dropkicks, because he knows he can't do it. If you know you can't do it, and you try to do it anyway, then you're the stupid one. Not saying that New Jack should have said that to him, I'm just saying that he has some degree of vindication. | vsp

And I'll give him this much -- he cuts some killer promos (no pun intended), and he delivered one in ECW that summed himself up nicely, roughly paraphrased here: "I ain't no wrestler, I'm not going out there and doing moves. I just beat the shit out of people, and if you get in there with me I'm gonna tear you up."

| #20 Posted on 14.2.02 1143.59 Reposted on: 14.2.09 1159.05 | I do remember an interview with New Jack in WOW Magazine.
A lot of the other wrestlers in ECW were afraid to face him, thinking that he might legitimately beat the hell out of them. He said there was one time when Justin Credible hit him with a chair and New Jack looked all pissed. Credible was like, “Oh, shit!” But New Jack kind of laughed it off.
Basically, he's not really crazy at heart, he just does some crazy-ass shit with weapons. But I took the gist of the interview to mean that he's not really, like, psycho or anything. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
