God forbid he get elected, lest he be a 16% President. But according to the less than partisan Dick Morris, Dick Gephardt has missed 84% of the votes in the House this year.

It wouldn't be so bad if he fellow Congressional and Senatorial candidates for President hadn't had good attendance records.

Gephardt's done. Next...

Gephardt's really screwed up a lot of this. His only hope is if he's got enough of a lock on the Unions that they can carry him until a lot of the others drop out.

I called Gephardt winning not to long ago, but he hasn't been helping me out.

It looks like Dean is peaking a bit too soon. Expect some article soon about something stupid he's said or done in the past. If he's still up around the top after that, he's a serious contender.

Gephardt simply shouldn't be running. He's barely a name in his own state despite two separate presidential campaigns and being a prominant Congressman for nearly two decades, which says something about his personal charisma.

That having been said:

It looks like Dean is peaking a bit too soon.

The presidential elections are over a year and a half away. At this point in the 1992 election, Bill Clinton had one percent support among dedicated Democratic voters.

This race is going to be between Kerry and Edwards.

Lieberman-too conservative for the dems base to accept.

Gephardt-stuck in the 1930's. Big government just doesn't sell in the U.S. nowadays.

Dean-his past will kill him, too liberal to ever beat Bush.

Sharpton-you're KIDDING, right?

Mosely-Braun-who?

Graham-actually has a chance to crash the party, to be honest I think he would have the best chance of beating Bush were he to get the nomination.

Kerry LOOKS presidential, and has a war record that put's Bushie-boy's to shame. Edwards is the new Clinton, a charming and charismatic southerner who could take the dems places were he to get the chance. However, the new political reality in the states demand a leader with credible security credentials, and Kerry fits the bill.

Us missourians hate us some Gephardt, yep.

Also, Lieberman is a conservative if you take the true meaning of the word, as in wanting to conserve. His environmental voting record is truly outstanding, and he would be somebody the Sierra Club would happily endorse. Now if only people didn't vote for the Bushs and Clintons simply because of personality and who they'd enjoy "spending an evening with".

I think John Edwards might be a contender for the future, but he's still too young to run right now. VP candidate, perhaps?

Running Gephardt in 2004 would be as dumb a choice as Bob Dole was in 1996. Both are already yesterday's news to voters.

Don't forget Lieberman's support for the stupid "less violence on TV" movement. Very liberal.

For the $150K in taxpayer revenue he's getting, he should at least show up 75% of the time.
