The only thing I remember is that Goldberg's WCW music wasn't owned by WCW, it was stock music (ie Hardy Boyz' original theme, Marc Mero, Booker T)... so maybe they changed it so they could put it on the next album or something.
But it did sound similar - it had the essence of his WCW theme, for sure. | sergeial

The original theme was instantly recognizable with the drum bit, and the tune stuck in your head. The new one is very similar in feel, but the drums are de-emphasized and the melody isn't catchy.
Cena's new theme is great though, even though he cuts it short to freestyle 90% of the time. The important thing is that you know who's coming out instantly, so having a great first second is important. Like Goldberg's theme used to have.

"Goldberg... Here comes Goldberg!"
And it was hard to tell with Real Player, but was there any pop at all for him? Sounded like deafening silence to me. | dskillz

The guys in the WWE's music department must've watched the "I love the 80's" marathon on VH1 before working on his theme. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
