I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about the parts of the show that you think could be better, or that you think that the show would be better without. There is and always has been too high of a crap ratio on wrestling shows. But if you don't like the show one little bit and see no hope for it to improve, or the parts that you don't like completely overwhelm your appreciation of the parts you like, I honestly can't understand why you continue to watch. Or if you stopped watching long ago, why you continue to hold forth on what you read happened. Each to their own, I guess.

But, for me, looking at the show, then coming here to read commentary about the crap I just watched probably is the most entertaining WWE by-product going on today. | emma

I think it would be wonderful if we could all agree on a strategy to meet all of our diverse, respective needs. You think tearing it apart is fun -- OK. I don't find that to be entertaining. (Presumably that's OK with you too.) So how can we arrange things here on Wienerboard, so that you can bitch & shred, & so that I don't have to wade through that to find the insightful, bitch-free discussion? | bubblesthechimp

So why is it one person saying he doesn't like the show called bitching and shredding, while someone else doing the exact same thing is called insightful discussion? It is all the same crap. Well, if you have something negative to say, you might as well be constructive about it and explain exactly what about it you didn't like, preferably in a reasonable manner, and not just trolling negativity. You CAN make negativity sound reasonable and worth reading. It's just harder, so most people don't bother. But then again, you've usually got alot more convincing to do if you're going to go against what's already happening, since that would mean that you'd have to think of something that was better. | tasslex

There's not a lot you can do there - that's kinda the nature of web forums - while the "signal-to-noise ratio"** might not be right for you, it might be right for someone else.

| #12 Posted on 16.4.03 1738.33 Reposted on: 16.4.10 1739.32 | Ex, the problem as I see it is that whenever anyone does come up with some other idea it's dismissed by a certain amount of people simply because it is from a person on the net or because it might suggest using different people in different roles. Sadly we've gotten to the point here where it seems people are polarized to the point where for some people even the slightest suggestion of de-pushing HHH gets a "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU NET SMARK!" sort of response. And yes, I know there's a good amount of reflexive HHH hatred out there. The problem is supporting HHH is supporting the status quo, so it really doesn't fall into "proposing changes" which is the issue here. It's hard to bring yourself to post a detailed idea about what could be done when you know that it will be discredited as simply mindless HHHating. | Bob Dole

Nah. If MST3K had been about a bunch of guys sitting around whining about how awful they had it, and just generally taking themselves way too seriously, no one would have ever watched it.

MST3K was about entertainment that was supposed to be bad.
WWE is is entertainment that is pretty bad on the whole, and could (and should) be a lot better.
