Paraphrasing: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly interested in starring in the remake of "Casablanca." This will be for those people who really liked the original, but wished it was terrible.
The wife and I were rolling on that one.

Speaking of endings, having the Aaron Brown skit come on after the unfinished skit was a stroke of genius.
I now have realized what my favorite skit of the new SNL era is: Wake Up Wakefield. Maya and especially Rachel are comic gold, and you can't go wrong with a CD from grade schoolers named Tromboner.
All in all, an okay episode that died after Weekend Update (still don't dig Tina Fey's smug attitude though). | uberlou

Amen to that. I've been a fan of Wake Up Wakefield since they started it last season. They gotta do it more, though.
I thought the show started off a little slow but got a little better near the end. I liked the Phone Booth sketch as well as the Access Hollywood thing. I love the Club Traxx skit too. I think i'm in the minority here though. But it's barely a parody of a German music show but more like an exact copy. Trust me, i've seen some wacky German music shows and they (SNL) hit the nail right on the head with this sketch. I can't help but crack up. Though I wasn't a big fan of Youseffi(sp?). I liked the one with Matthew McConaughey which they're replaying next week, thankfully. | Simba

I'm so glad I'm not the only one getting tired of Tina. For some reason, it really pissed me off that she bashed the sound fx guy for missing his cue. If she wants to start bashing people for being unprofessional, she should start with the guy to her left. | tomvejada

Weeks?! Christ, I thought it was bad when both of them first started thats when I gave up on SNL. I didn't realize the writing and their acting sucked this bad.

This episode was gold; Ray Romano is a great host.

I'm hoping for Brody on the 12th, if only to get a payoff for the Wake Up Wakefield sketch.
Quick thoughts on the current cast: Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon: They're in the position that Sandler and Farley were in their later seasons. Still valuable, but don't need to be in the spotlight.
Will Forte and Fred Armisen: The future of the show. Period.
Amy Poehler and Seth Myers: A bit overexposed, but still capable of GOLD!
Darrell Hammond: Still manages to carry the show with solid impressions, but you can tell he's getting bored.
Tracy Morgan: I love Tracy. He seems OK with the fact that they don't give him a whole lot to do. If we get a few Astronaut Jones and Brian Fellows sketches from time to time, I'll be happy.
Jeff Richards: Can him. He hasn't done one funny thing. Ever.
Rachel Dratch and Chris Parnell: They're consisitent in their effort, but that doesn't always equal funny. I like them both, but they're not getting good bits to run with. I guess I'm undecided on them right now.
Dean Edwards: Needs a breakout character NOW!
Chris Kattan: Seems to be suffering from the same boredom as Hammond. Maybe his time is done.
Tina Fey: Leave her be! Update's the best its been in years.
Maya Rudolph: Not a huge range. Some of her characters blend together. It's a safe bet she's the one that's going to get a laugh out of me, though. I'd like to see her be the senior member of a mostly new cast.
Okay I just needed to get some of that off my chest. Carry on!
