It has to be Lou Merloni. Not only does he now play for the Padres, but he played college baseball for the Providence College Friars. And, in a little known Lou Merloni fact, he's from Framingham.

Hey, take it easy on Lou

If I am not mistaken, he just won a game for the Padres recently by laying down a nice bunt. (Can any Padres fans help me out here? Guru?). Also, it was reported here(in MA) that he called back to his former teammates (and the front office) about how happy he was to be in the National League.

And while I am at it, stop picking on Framingham, I spent alot of time there as a youngster(my Aunt lived there), it's a nice place. :)

Of course Framingham is a nice place. Lou Merloni is from it. I remember every one of those 9 homeruns he has hit. He was Nomar's best friend. Oh and he was also from Framingham.

He was a player who basically just wasn't that good. Then he whined because he thought Boston was making a mockery of his career by bouncing him between the minors and the Bosox. Ben Affleck also took some potshots at him.
