At least I know I have. Hasbro is finally releasing a Unicron toy as part of the Transformers Armada line. It's scheduled to release in June and will be around $50. TF collectors might know that Hasbro had a couple of Unicron designs back then, but they never got past the prototype stage. Now we finally get the real thing!

Don't get too excited. It's part of the Armada line. Unicron'll probably transform into a pair of roller skates and come with an action figure of one of the interchangeable big-eyed kids.

I remember about 3 years ago over in Japan, there was a 3 foot tall Unicron figure that was supposed to be produced but unfortuneatly, the production costs were to high to actually put it out on the market. The retail price would have been $300. It looked REALLY fucking cool though and I was totally gonna buy it, but they pulled it due to low orders.or whatnot and that sucked.

It looked better then THIS one, that's for sure.

It looks pretty decent. Not as good as the Beast Wars Neo prototype from about 98-99, but not bad either.

I'm just slightly full of regret that Fortress Maximus' re-release was scrapped because it couldn't pass a drop-test and we'll never see the Megatron re-release. . .well, unless you got $120

If seen previews of Unicorn before and he is supposed to transform inot the planet which would rock. Armada does suck, but if they bring me more shit like this I'll deal.

I just wished they would have made more re-issues of Prime, I've been trying like mad to find him for at least $50 bucks, but no help. I saw Japan was doing another re-issue with Prime and Megatron with their laser weapons ie the axe and mace. All the Japanesse have to do is put a red dot on the top of Megatron's gun and it can be released here. I would hope they would that, because I really want Prime and Megatron on my shelve.

A Fan- Now, if they could bring the price down another ten bucks for the re-issues.

They just reissued Powermaster Prime (now with the whole set he had in Japan) as a TRU exclusive a few months ago.

As for Megatron. . .screw the red dot. . .just go here Click Here (animebooks.com)

Not trying to spam. . .just a public service. It's a tad bit more expensive than a TRU reissue, but hey . . .it has more than the original Megs ever had. . .

Then it pleases me to be the first.

When I saw the movie in the thatre in 87 it rocked. *L* I watch it ever now and again and it still rocks. It aged pretty well for a kid's movie, eh?

That whole sequence with Unicron transforming just blew me away when I was 7.

A little off of the topic, but I was looking through my old Transformers and found Jetfire (which, like all my TF's I'd taken apart and never reassembled ). Does anyone know why he only showed upf in the cartoon as Skyfire and didn't look much like the toy? I may have the names mixed up...

Because Hasbro was threatened with a lawsuit over the toy for stealing the exact mold for the Veritech fighter from Macross/Robotech, if I remember right.
