King Richard to UNC?
I think he would want to stay at UL to continue the rebuilding of that program. I'm not sure if he would want to abandon a program while it is in the rebuilding phase. As much as it hurts a UK fan to admit, King Richard does like to reach his goals before he voluntarily leaves a job.
I don't think Williams would go, Kansas is an upper echelon job, just the same as the job at UNC is. I think that Stan Heath from Arkansas would be a good choice, and I also agree with the assessments about Karl (who may not be welcome much longer in Milwaukee anyway), Sampson, and Few. The Marquette coach (I have already forgotten his name and don't want to remember it, for that matter) has really added luster to his resume this year as well.

Dean wanted to look outside the family the first time. After Roy, he wanted either Tubby, or Rick Majerus. Doherty was Dick Baddour's pick (and other alumni, including Jordan).
I can't believe anyone is making this out to be about the kids. This isn't about the kids. This is about Phil Ford. If Doherty had left his staff behind at Notre Dame (which he didn't, and part of the contract for him to come to UNC was for him to bring them. Baddour agreed to this, so the blame is, again, in his court) and kept Phil Ford and the other assistant coaches, everything would've been fine. But the AD and the damn Chancellor are using the kids as an excuse to fire Doherty, and hiding behind them as cover. They should've never let the players be at the damn press conference, much less allowed them to shoot their mouths off.
Grrrr... I can't believe how pissed I am over the whole thing.
