Oh... excuse me, the "AT&T Shootout". Anyway, I always enjoyed the three point contest a lot more than the Slam Dunk contest and the NBA can still draw big names into it. Here are this year's competitors.

Ray Allen - Milwaukee*
Mike Miller - Orlando
Steve Nash - Dallas
Wesley Person - Cleveland
Paul Pierce - Boston
Quentin Richardson L.A. - Clippers
Steve Smith - San Antonio
Peja Stojakovic - Sacramento
* - defending champ

I am a little disappointed that Dirk Nowitzki isn't in it again this year but what can you do.

Phil

This is one of the better lineups that I can remember in a while. Being a Sacramento Kings and Florida Gators fan I hope that the finals will be between Peja and Mike Miller. Peja will probably be the favorite to win it but I doubt Mike will make it Paul Pierce would beat any of these guys if it were one on one, but a shoot out contest I don't know. Nash should do alright. But I think it will probably be Peja over Ray Allen in the Finals.

Wow 4 of those guys are on my fantasy team, but that is an awsome lineup. I'm going with Nash.

On the fantasy note - I have three of those guys on my fantasy team.

I seem to recall Steve Smith stinkin the joint up in these things before.

I also look at these lineups and remember fondly the years when Tim Legler could win

Or how about Craig Hodges, when he wasn't even on a NBA team?

Gotta go with Paul Pierce over Peja here....
