On his return:
He is back and bumping, despite continued "do not wrestle" warnings. He thought he'd just play a small role, but after Nash's infamous injury, he thought/prayed/meditated about creative ideas involving him in the ring. He wanted to put his faith in action.
On his conversion:
It's completely taken over his life in a positive manner. He doesn't make any decisions that wouldn't glorify the lord.
On the Heartbreak Kid:
He was immature, and a pain. He couldn't control or channel his passion for the business. He dodges questions about what he was ashamed of what he did prior to his conversion. Shawn denies stepping on people on his rise to the top, but did so when he reached the top. He then says he wasn't as mature as he should have been, instead of just trying to have the best matches he could.
On being seen differently:
He isn't too concerned about it. He's only concerned about one person. They play Bret's comments on Shawn (two-faced lying chickenshit, and he still is). Shawn thinks Bret's assessment wasn't fair, even for 'back then'. Shawn feels that is time to bury the hatchet. Shawn says he has forgiven his part of it, and taken responsibility for it. 'It' being Montreal 1997. Shawn then confesses that he knew everything that was going down. He was told not to say anything, not even after the fact -- just deny it. The woman doing the Confidential interview didn't know about the whole Montreal thing, so they went ahead with the interview, and the decision was made to air it.
Would he do a Montreal screwjob again?
He probably still would. He biblically references submitting to the authority above him. Shawn compares himself to Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano to Vince McMahon's John Gotti. Michaels says there is one person that could have changed the outcome in Montreal -- Bret.
On doing what the boss said to do, if it meant humbling himself in the ring.
Shawn denies that he would have a problem with that. He'd do it if he was told to by his boss. He wouldn't rather turn in the title than lose it in the ring. The only person that 'didn't want to do this' was Bret. When Vince asked if he wanted to work his Bret, Shawn said no, saying that Bret has not been supportive of Michaels' reign.
On friends in the business:
If you stick together, you get branded with a name, and are said to have influence.
On Triple H:
Shawn would tell him to focus on his family if he were to get married.
On working:
He worken 289 events a year at his prime. Now, he wouldn't work 89.
On his greatest match:
His hour with Bret would either be #1, or at worst 1.5.
On Bret - Part 2:
Shawn says that he would appear on the show with Bret. Shawn wanted
Ric Flair: He would love to wrestle him again. Marty Janetty: Buddy. They've been playing phone tag for the past while. Vader: Big cuddly bear. Sid: Thought they worked well together. Curt Hennig: Tragic
