| #1 Posted on 24.3.03 1317.47 Reposted on: 24.3.10 1318.22 | This is a couple of days old but the Saints traded Kyle Turley to the St. Louis Rams last week for a 2nd round pick in 2004. Turley was sick of the organzation plus he would have hurt the Saints cap wise if they were to keep him on the roster. Not to mention fight for a starting spot.
It was evident the Saints would dump Turley when they signed Pittsburgh free agent offensive linemen Wayne Gandy.
The Saints had no offers for the 2004 first round pick for Turley.
Turley was on his honeymoon when he found out he got traded.
I believe this logically made sense since Turley was a cool man liked the city but hated our media and had a blow up with the organzation over his contract in December. Both sides seem to be happy now although so people say Turley was not treated fairly.

Was a very good move for the Rams. | The Thrill

| #5 Posted on 2.4.03 1232.03 Reposted on: 2.4.10 1233.09 | My one and only Kyle Turley story:
Last season. Packers @ Saints. I'm on the sidelines shooting for GB's ABC affiliate. (Sometimes I love my job.) Saints get the ball off a turnover, I think, and drive towards the end zone. The considerable Packer fan complement starts making noise for their defense with the ol' venerable "Go Pack Go!" chant. Not wanting to be outdone, the drunken...err, spirited (ba-dum-bum!) Saints fans try making *more* noise than the Packers fans, with a "Go Saints Go!" chant.
In a dome. When their team's driving. Towards them.
Good logic, Saints fan.
Anyhoo, Aaron Brooks has to call timeout...place is too damn loud. Turley rips off his helmet, and I can read his lips yelling at the hometown fans, and they yelled back:
"Shut the f*ck up! We're trying to score a touchdown!" "No, YOU shut the f*ck up!" "Shut the f*ck up!"
Classic Turley. Blonde mullet in effect! | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
