Fox News channel is 10 times better then CNN and MSNBC when it comes down to the WAR Coverage so far. FOX does not B.S. or play with some sort of digitalglobe map, FOX just gives the facts and balanced news.
FOX also has good shows The Factor and Hannity/Colmes.

When it comes down to news the best one out there is FoxNEWS

Ooooh, whats that? It sounds quite cool.

All we get is live pictures of a quiet bit of Baghdad where nothing is happening in glorious green screen, occassionally interupted by pictures from the RAF base down south where nothing is also happening.

All this anchored by some of the most incompetent newscasters ever known to mankind.

And CNN has something resembling actual news.

EDIT: And Savage Nation is the latest TV show featuring some bile-spewing hate-radio jagoff to grace our "liberal media".

Is Savage taking the same slot as Donahue had? If so are they just trying to go from one extreme to the other?

Wathc MSNBC at 2 o'clock in the morning, you get live action at the war, I watched the fighting at Umm Qasr Saturday night for 4 hours on MSNBC, no interruptions.

Essentially, they fired Donahue for being too liberal (wienerboard.com) (He *was* losing to O'Rielly and Connie Chung, but he was also the highest rated show on MSNBC), and now they're trying to out Fox Fox.

Mike Savage doesn't have Donahue's spot though and isn't competing with the Factor. His show is on once a week, Saturday evening.

I forgot to mention that Pat Sajak now has his show on FOXNEWS.

The "No Spin Zone" still #1 in ratings.

Anyone have the BBC-World channel on their system? I have been watching that, and have found their coverage pretty encompassing.

Why is it that some news channels have put together some sort of opening montage for their coverage, like the war is some reality show? WTF?

Now if they got Dan Savage to co-host that show with Michael Savage, THEN it would be a great show.

I don't know if Michael Savage could stand being in the same room as a gay guy though.

Let's also remember that Donahue was one of the last relics of the 'Everything that goes wrong in the world is the U.S. fault' school of thought from the 1970's.
Plus, he showed over a decade ago that his popularity was gone when his daytime show went in the crapper.

Now it's nothing but the "Nothing that goes wrong in the world could ever possibly be the U.S.'s fault and if you disagree why don't you just move to Iraq you commie faggot" school of thought. Much more enlightened times we live in.

Man, sometimes as a Republican thinking person, I find it suprising when I *gulp* agree with the OFB.

Sometimes I wish people and news could just report what is happening and not what they think about what is happening.

I dont agree with EVERYTHING this administration is doing, but I do think they are doing the "right" (not RIGHT WING) thing in this instance.

Because it is. It's reality show combined with spectator sport combined with one of those History Channel "big honkin' machine" shows. Welcome to the new world, where war is the Ultimate Reality Show.

As an independent thinker, Ive found that the most objective "fluff-free" news coverage comes from the international outlets. I get CBC, News International, and BBC America.

The international channles address the major news stories sans the American Propoganda Spin. And they're not trying to out-promote each other (a la Fox Newz/CNBC/CNN etc). Plus, the best part: LESS SHIT CLOGGING UP THE SCREEN!

"Too liberal" in the same way that "Cop Rock" was "too insipid"....if the Donahue show made any money at all, which it did not, despite being the top-rated show on that lousy network, it would still be on. Going more conservative is where the money is, that's all. MSNBC is the redheaded stepchild of news channels....

Truly; this is a free market. If people wanted to hear liberal ideas, Donahue would still have a job. After 9/11, people are feeling less and less guilt about being affluent, or free, or white, or American, or just plain better. We're rediscovering pride. And proud people don't tend toward liberalism.
