There's this great new song that modern rock may play, but it's from The Roots (hip-hop group) featuring Cody Chestnutt, "The Seed." Have you heard this song? | Feely

I love the new Beck song, but good God does it sound like something off of "Painted Trees of Ghostwood" by Songs of Soil. | kazhayashi81

The two disc I own are "Dig" and "Scenery And Fish", their first two from a major record company(Capitol Records). Those are the only ones I can find around Western Mass, and I'm not a big fan of internet shopping as of yet. So, no is the answer to your question, Edwin is the only singer I've heard from thus far. Scar I would like to know if it's a singer since Edwin or before and what he/she might sound like. If you post the anwer, I send you "thanks" in advance.
P.s. Do you have a I Mother Earth site you know of? | Gavintzu

From the Artist Direct writeup for Edwin:
"Canadian singer Edwin grew up in Toronto and was a founding member of I Mother Earth in 1990. He stayed with the group seven years, participating on its two albums, Dig (1993) and Scenery & Fish (1996), also serving as vocalist on Rush member Alex Lifeson's solo album, Victor (1996). In September 1997, he announced his departure from I Mother Earth. He signed to Sony Music Canada and recorded his debut solo album, Another Spin Around the Sun, which was released in Canada April 27, 1999. It was a considerable success, spawning four singles. In July 2000, Columbia Records released Another Spin Around the Sun in the U.S."
From the same site's writeup of I Mother Earth:
"The band would release no more CDs on Capitol, but again took three years to release the successive Blue Green Orange. Distributed by Mercury throughout Canada, but harder to find in the U.S., the 1999 release expanded on I Mother Earth's already expansive musical pallette, as did an import CD of acoustic remixes and live tracks (Earth Sky and Everything in Between)."
There ya go ... go to your local record outlet and special order Blue Green Orange, but don't expect Edwin's dulcet singing. Or special order Another Spin Around the Sun. Or if you are flush this month, order both
