Kentucky has a chance to do something that I'm sure has never happened in NCAA history...If UK can beat Vandy by more than 16 points, they will have beaten Vandy by a total margin of 100 points over the span of the season (after three games +22, and *gulp* +62). I'm here to say it WON'T HAPPEN!

I think with our new found confidence, Vandy will keep it under 16, but then again I also thought we'd be in the NCAA tournament this year...(we still might be after three more games!!) Kentucky has their #1 seed wrapped up, and is just playing for pride...

Vandy 81 Kentucky 79...you heard it here first folks. 18 game winning streak...OVER! Ffej, Russell, Drew??? How bout them apples!

FEAR FREIJE!

Chuck,

It's a 20 game winning streak :-) (Oh, and please call me Rusty)

I just hope that the 'Cats come out and play well and take care of business. Vandy has proven that it's a dangerous team, they proved that by posting win # 2 of the season over 'Bama.

While I want to show respect to Vandy, I just don't think that they'll pull the upset. The 'Cat fan in me wants a 20 point game where we'll be able to rest some guys and allow guys like Azubuike, Stockton, Cote, and Barbour to play 10+ minutes and soothe some post-season jitters. The realist in me expects a motivated, vengeful Vandy team that will make it a tough, hard-fought game. But, I do think that the 'Cats need at least one more win to have the confidence of a # 1 seed, but that could simply be blue paranoia.

GO BIG BLUE!

Sorry Rusty!
There's nobody in America that can beat the Cats if they're playing their game...I just happen (like to) think that they're overlooking the Dores, and we are DEFINITELY out for revenge. Our players' mindsets are MUCH different now than last week at Rupp. I mean, how can UK get pumped for a team they beat by 62 last week?

I just hope Azimbuke's (sp?) ass stays on the bench this time. He's quite frightening.

Kaz should be a stud next year. He's the typical freshman in that he's not very comfortable in the system. But, he's a smart kid (4.0 in HS) and should learn. In reality, Bogans, Fitch and Hawkins have played so well this year in the back court that there hasn't been an incredible need for he and Barbour (who is also top notch) to contribute.

I just hope that you're wrong about the 'Cats overlooking the 'Dores (even if you're merely hoping). The 62 point game was a FLUKE, but it was senior night and emotions were incredibly high for that team. Part of me thinks a reality check (loss) would be beneficial for a national title run, but part of me thinks that this team does an excellent job of keeping an even keel and doesn't need the ego check that a loss provides.

The thing is that this is a good Kentucky team that is beatable. Or at least they were early in the season. If they continue to play defense, I like their chances, but even if they bow out early, I'll have no complaints about a great season.

Well, the margin was 18, which is higher than I thought it would be, and I guess Will Perdue wasn't enough of a presence to spur his 'Dores to victory. (Will co-hosts a local radio show in Louisville on ESPN radio and was the former "Legend" accompanying the team to the tournament - Jack "Goose" Givens was UK's representative).

I actually thought Tennessee was the sleeper team in this tournament, but they've gone to sleep with the Gators.

What I liked was seeing Stockton get some good minutes in the first half (and Azubuike in the 2nd). That can only help beginning next week by getting these guys ready for a little play under post-season pressure.

I've actually been watching some of the other tourneys more than the SEC since there have been so many good upsets in the PAC-10, Atlantic 10 and ACC tournaments.

I'm guessing that sessions not featuring Louisville are not being sold out, and that's why we aren't getting any of the other C-USA games locally, but that looks to have been a good tournament as well (Guess I should have taken my brother up on his offer of tickets).

Ready for the rest of the weekend appetizer before the buffet of the NCAA tournament begins next Thursday!!!!!!!
